I play solo and am just about to hit level 61. Any other solo gamers?

All seasons and missions beat and current. Just upgrading Abraham to level 21 and my workshop and that should bring me to level 61 and the ability to upgrade my council.

Any other people play without a clan that have reached high levels?

  • I would rather the rewards be rewards I earned alone. I am weird like that. Hah. BTW, if anyone comes across "Del" during an outpost dust up that's me.

  • I have been solo since the start, because I invited everyone in my guild to come to my camp and no one ever came. =[

Did you offer free hot dogs?

  • Until 6 weeks ago I was a solo player. I am L57. Been in a guild for six weeks. I use to struggle to maintain enough TG to get the goodies offered. I used to wonder why I see so many screenshots with players having 20,000 or more TG. Now I know the answer. I have about 20-25,000 TG constantly.

  • Maybe I'll join a guild sometime. I used to clan ages ago. Like Team Fortress Classic in 99 and 2000. Just prefer SP games now and solo play.
  • @Delphinus just join a guild for the extra TG's and phones.... phones are what it's really about, and just let them know you have no interest in the social aspect of the guild. I'm in a guild that has a few of those type players. No need to chit chat if you don't want to. So long as you play the game and do the challenges, most guilds won't kick you (barring some minimum star requirement). I think weekly our guild gets 20 or 25 radios from the stars. We get around 13k average I think.

I joined a guild with this exact intent. Didn't want to download chat apps, participate in discussions, etc. Just play the same exact game the same exact way, only in addition to your solo rewards you get a lot of extra TG and phones along the way. Invaluable.

That I ended up meeting several great people, sharing some strategy discussion, and enhancing the experience was an unexpected bonus.

You didn't create a recruiting post so no sales pitch, but if you're ever interested feel free to hit me up for details.

Been alone for a while between oct/nov 2015....but i was a social rodent so i needed to build the herd... I joined a guild and since then i never went out... I'm in the same room from almost 2 years...the new ones joining assure that the room is very stinky, but it's only for few days... :#

  • I played solo from the release of the game, including running a solo guild, until about 6 months ago. Joined for the cumulative rewards, not for the socialising. Found competing against established guild members, for star count, added a new incentive to suffer with the grind; a mini-leader board to challenge myself with.

Eventually, i began claiming top spot week after week, and when our Leader went AWOL, the rest of my guild voted me as the unofficial new Leader.

I've since migrated them to a new guild of my own. Kinda became King of my own little castle. And I now consider the group rewards as my own acheivements, since they work for me! Like peasants toiling in the field, I reap the benefits!

I still maintain top spot week after week, but as my Elders improve, they keep pushing me to have to try and improve as well. Our system seems to keep everyone else happy, (and providing for me!)

  • @WahooDawg No recruitment angle here. @Delphinus was asking about solo players at high level. I was just telling my story, about how i was once solo, joined a guild for personal gains, raised through the ranks, and got initiated as the new leader.

Just saying, there's much to be gained from teaming up with others...

  • Sorry...I was just messing around @Phalanx44 . I wasn't trying to imply that you were actually recruiting here!

I played the first year or so solo, to about level 19 survivors. Now I'm part of a large guild family. They are both cool ways to play. Do your own thing. Challenge play has improved since 2.0. I wouldn't touch it with someone else's 10 foot pole before that. Outpost raiders that ignore challenges will always have more tg income than any guild rewards/individual challenge rewards, by the way, so that point is invalid.

  • Solo might take a bit more of a grind but its still rewarding. Good job!
Smooth but strong and on the rocks.

  • Hey guys, you have convinced me. I may look for some guilds to join.

I average 20-25K trade goods anyway playing solo.

Removed attachment. Too much info in the pic. I'm paranoid. Heh.

  • I've spent less than $8 real money also. Is there any way to see the date you first started to play?

The main thing I am worried about is rewards and leveling up will feel less rewarding because it was done via other players or "boosting". Feels so much better getting all of these rewards by myself.
