Well there's always interrupt, using a combo of warriors and ranged weapon survivors , and using them on the lower levels now that there's more of them. Someone asked if savior warriors are doing double damage and The mods have already answered so you don't have to worry about getting slashed by the saviors at double damage. Thread link is below.
Compound would have been another option, or any challenge but this one, probably.

Thanks all. I'm aware of other possible uses for warriors dbl dmg, but I was just noting the irony of the timing....whether coincidental or intentional. I will not pretend to speak for others but this gives me no incentive to bench my main team of ranged survivors.
And I disagree on using it in outposts. Ranged teams do just fine if methodical enough through the armored walkers. Warriors/melee can seem nifty, but it can be idiotic when you get to a bunch of ranged defenders, though.
So...not complaining per se, it's just that warriors week doesn't motivate me to let my warriors out of the house to come out and play
I for one noted the irony in your original post...I liked it
I was thinking the same thing yesterday after I told my guild about the event...and you're right you don't really need warriors when raiding...maybe they're just trying to spark excitement about warriors with the event...and to look at the bright side at least it wasn't scouts lol
You better check yo self before you wreck yo self...cuz I'm bad for your health, I come real stealth
What's wrong with using Warriors (or any other class) just for fun? What about giving yourself a challenge with lower level survivors? It's an opportunity to mix it up. It's been said before, no game can be all things to every player.
I like the event. Might be because my guys are still just level 12 but I can kill higher level walkers now than without the event before getting damage. So it's nice for farming. And since I can't be bothered to spend all the gas for the challenge (since there is so much that still needs to be upgraded for so many cans and XP...), I make use of that quite a bit.
Loved my first 3-of-a-kind quest. I got "use ranged weapons team" and "use assault team" before the challenges started. Five stars each for the first three maps was nice.

Lol, I started this challenge having saved up all bruiser, all scout and all shooter. Like @theRealBender and @LadyAquila have said, it was actually more fun knocking off those low level missions without using my high level hunters & assaults for a change.
And after I finished off use scout team, I got use all warriors
I actually do a lot of the lower level missions with weird combinations of scouts/bruisers/warriors on almost every challenge even after I finish my 3-4 quests...my outlook is if NG isn't going to make the lower level grinding fun I'll at least try and mix it up myself...not saying it'll work for you or even anybody else but I'm easily amused

Heh I have that same advice to some of the content creators about making "new" vids of challenges to change it up a lil - throw in your leveled survivors with the "crud" lower level gear from the lower challenges and go to town. Lol can still take a few hits and get perfect 3 stars.
I guess I'm with you in the easily amused camp because I've done the same to break up the monotony. And it definitely makes the same old maps not so predictable and routine when you walk in there with some bruiser, scout and unleveled shooter with a pos common pistol. It's still pretty easy, of course, but at least im not sleepwalking through it.
Yeah no doubt...I've been going until about level 13 doing that then I switch to my BA 2 hunter and shooter team
But you're right about breaking up the monotony...it doesn't solve the problem of course but at least it makes you use your brain a little to strategize a bit more
Worst case you and I keep doing it this way and it makes us smile a bit and have a tad more fun...best case maybe someone else sees this and says "Hey those nutjobs have a decent idea...I'll try that"...that's my theory anyways

A wacky thought just popped into my head @SlickRick (apologies if this has been said somewhere before), imagine if we had an option before a mission to randomly select a team from our survivors? Lol, I would totally do it on the low levels. And maybe even on an XP run. We could all use a little spice added into our game
Crap, am I off topic? I can't even remember what this thread is about. I blame the gin

Ive no issue with them having two bars but one needes to feed into another so they can be one shooted as the current ststem js nonsensical.

And since this is not substituting for a "weekend event", I think this is great.
