They like to tease us. They just posted a teaser of a new challenge map coming in the next update but they just made me more hungry.

I hope no new council update yet. I was barely catching up to max out last time then the new update came in. Now I'm catching up again and I hope I make it in time before the new update!

Instead of new council we need game balance tweak. Still may things to overhaul to make game more interesting and fair

    @Conan1976

The XP issue was mentioned by the one of the mods awhile back...was related more to XP from scrapped gear than a whole overhaul of XP economics...nothing specific of course and unfortunately you're just going to have to wait like the rest of us for the details...I know it's hard but hang in there :)

I may be wrong, but I think that next council upgrade would be to early for the majority of players.

They will get to the level in time (newer players). And there will always be the inherent issue of new players coming into the game. There may be even a big inflow when the next season of TWD starts and the game gets advertised there and on TWD. The argument could be that eventually the stream of new players may tail off because of the game and television show (i.e., when the show goes off the air, a source of advertising/new players/interest diminishes unlike games not tied into a property like TWD).

There are many who are waiting for the next level.

@Perdtin Last council upgrade is abt. 1 month ago (1.8.3 was released on 20th of April) only and thus it's definitely to early for the next lvl.

The game is made for a large community and not for individuals, who want to push things forward quickly. Hardly believe that more than 5-10% of the whole player community is maxed out already.

Release of the next council lvl would most probably lead to frustration of a big part of the player community due to the reason that they might get the impression that they'll never get in a position to catch up.

Don't get me wrong, I'm lvl51 with only 3 walker pit upgrades outstanding. I've more than 5K supplies bunkered and could start the last upgrades to max out everything, but I hate wasting my supplies for that building as I don't waste TG's for walker training. (I only have 3 normal walkers at lvl6, 1 tank at lvl3 and no fatty.)

As you may see from these information I would like to have the next council lvl released to enable me to spend my supplies for another building than the - for me - useless walker pit, but I see the whole picture and thus am against release of the next council lvl with patch 1.9 and I hope that NG is in complete agreement.

I have only XP tent and Pit to upgrade but I don't want new Council. I want to enjoy my camp a while...
New council means changing in team.. Again more and more xp. We need tweak in this matter otherwise upgrading of one gear will hit 2.5kk!

@Lightfeet The ultimate issue is that (a) there is nothing really to ever catch up to since there is no end game and (b) there really is no way to catch up even now. The amount of effort to upgrade items at these levels takes forever. I agree, generally, in part about what you are saying. Also with respect to the issues inherent in the game that need to be addressed. But there are 5-10% of players spinning their wheels with a rather artificial cap in the game in terms of upgrading buildings and proceeding.

It seems relatively easy just to flip a switch basically to allow upgrades - we see it all the time in weekend events. The max council levels and the rest may not even be hard coded into the client side, good just be another bit of database server calls.

Basically there really is no end game to the game and to remove one aspect of the game - gathering supplies and upgrading buildings - for a somewhat artificial reason takes away from it. Sitting there watching days and days of supplies from farms, side missions, zombie at the walls, trade goods gold tickets basically wasting effort of playing the game is kind of a bummer. This is one of my biggest issues with being held back. Play the game and get supplies that cannot be used and discarded?

If they tripped over into TGs or XPs I may not be as bummed. If they removed caps on supplies. But gathering 500 TGS to get 12800 tomatoes or running deadlies to get gold ticket for 52800 tomatoes or...well you get the idea :) There are other things that could be done to improve the game if they need these roadblocks, such as changing gas needed for missions so running XP missions could be done often enough to have a shot at upgrading weapons. (Or allowing mission car upgrades.) Farmed enough 7-4 and 9-3 that I really do not want to do it again.

So bottom line, not having the upgrade is taking away one aspect of the game where there is any sense of progress of actually playing the game.

Instead of lack of XP - supplies supposed to be harder to collect. All fun from jingling gear is killed by extremely high upgrading cost. My heart is bleeding when my gear is dusted because I can't upgrade what I want...

    Mod edited for now: snip

If this is true, that would be amazing. Don't see it happening, particularly 2 gas side missions. But I love good rumors :)
