The biggest problem of this uodate that many other nerfs are leading to actually isn't touched on as much as I thought it would be , hospital time. With struggles leading to heavy injuries now , dodge gone with high level zombies , all the other nerfs and super hero freemen, it's all led to huge increases in hospital time / bills with no reprieve. We either waste gold or don't play for extended periods .. most of the strategy we built over long periods of time was just that , to avoid trips to the hospital. So we could continue to play .. even the hospital upgrade this update doesn't even give us another healing slot which is a nice little cherry on top ..
The three I'd like to see are: 1) return interrupt 2) fix token economy. We were given small fixes, but 600 tg for 8 class tokens or 800 tg for 4 hero tokens is still way too much when it takes hundreds and thousands to upgrade survivors. 3) fix the low level grind with feedback from the player base. The "with" is important.
I never even bother with silver crates on gear runs specifically. There's no joy to see them. Gold crates have begun to yield some gear sometimes after months of being garbage. So that is moving in the right direction. I'm not analytical as many here are. But I did only gear runs ever back to doing only deadly runs ever. Gear is hard to get for me, perhaps rng factors in, but I think it should be. On the other hand, I think it should be possible, without TG, high level challenges, and purchaces. I watched it slow to a trickle and stop. If it was announced I never saw that. Now it's "fixed" after the update. I made a decision based on what I saw in game--I want decent gear, rare, epic, and legendary, to outfit my survivors more than supplies to build my camp or xp. This was an avenue presented that was not accurate. After months I stopped and ran other missions. Why the long story. Well, more than anything, I'd like to see in-game options be real options and not something I have to visit the forums and read player analysis of spreadsheets to accurately eveluate. I want to play and trust that what I'm presented with is the real deal. Be it mission types, traits, whatever.
@Top8dog I would *not* be happy with my 100% interrupt working 50/50. I think @OneLessTitan is spot on with the increased health of high level walkers.
Chance of body shots should not be tied to the difference between your survivor level & your enemies' level. That makes no sense! Why would my chance of headshot vs body shot have anything to do with the strength of my enemy?
My first act if you elect me president would be to fix every single bug before moving forward. The bugs are a disaster you know it I know it everyone knows it. The system is a rigged system and I will make sure we are winning on trade goods with China! Those women are lying and my second act as president will be to sue them for slander and I will win! We are going to make the bugs pay for fixing the bugs. They don't know it but they are going to pay.
1) Fix the algorithm for player level and corresponding gear drops i.e. Make sure player level 56+ get level 20 gear.
2) Fix the minimum number of walkers at the start of a raid to 9. It's currently 4 despite being listed as 6 in update notes but it needs to be 9 for a worst case scenario of how many walkers need to be killed by talking hunters, warriors, or assaults on a mission. No discrimination on the races that need 3 charge points.
3) Fix the static mission reward for normal and hard level. I'm going to call that a bug!
4) Fix the lack of XP awarded for killing heroes in outpost which is currently 0.
5) Fix the outpost timer issue that runs off more time than the time it takes to reconnect. For those that don't play outposts when you get disconnected it always you to reconnect and however long it took is what is lost from your clock most of the time but sometimes it runs more off the clock than it took to reconnect.
6) Fix the videos and ads.
7) Fix the scavenger mission maps that are missing. This is actually a HUGE problem that is really being glossed over.
8) Fix auto center and reduce the size of the bottom message bar during missions because it's blocking shit up on my phone!
9) Fix the weirdness going on where sometimes my survivor wants to use his charge attack all on his own.
10) Fix not being able to stab walkers through fences. I'm almost sure we used to be able to.
There should be an update 2.2.2 that does nothing but addresses these issues. If it costs NG more money to do this then so be it that's called the cost of doing business and too many players have put up with these bugs for way too long.
That's not improvements I would like to see just a comprehensive list of bugs that need to be fixed ASAP so we can try to get to base level first before making improvements. Oops!
Edit: I hope the devs got the Donald trump lines and didn't take the total disaster thing and suing victims the wrong way!
& just one more thing that's on the top of my list.....
Please!! Please give us new Exploration Maps!! Excuse me.. Scavenger Maps!!! I'm soooooo darn bored of doing the same 3 Maps over & over & over!!
I would really reallly really love to see All the Episodes opened again & then have the choice to play them as Normal/Hard/Nightmare/Hellish Modes AND then also have the choice to play them as just one of the three Scavenger Misssions!!! I'd be uber happy.. I mean UBER! Happy! ...even if I could only play them as Scavenger Missions!! That would really butter my biscuit!!

2) some sort of change that makes the saviors no longer act like suicide attackers (where they will risk hits from a crowd of walkers to get that attack to my survivors). It's like their only mission in the game is to try and kill my survivors and ignore the threat of 3-4 walkers surrounding them. This is illogical battle play
3) reserved for 2.3 when something else is modified that currently works fine. Could be anything really, but I want to hold this place for reservation of impending changes that will most likely take place.

100% interrupt should mean 100%. this game has the most confusing system of traits I've ever seen. and I've played lots of Final Fantasy games I know what I'm talking about.

I'm with @DLich on his 2nd point. That raider hunter on Handrails can be surrounded on all sides by 4 walkers, but he will run all the way across screen to line himself up perfectly to hit all of my survivors. The AI applied to the raiders is 100% illogical, not to mention their recent superhuman buff that directly coincided with our multiple nurfs. Come on NG....
We could all tell a million things that could be improved, made smarter oder just be fixed, but when it comes to what's really annoying right now, it's just

Fix it back to how it worked before 2.2 and most of the players would be quite ok with the game.

At the moment, it feels like NG thinks it knows better how we should play the game... I am talking about changes to luck, interrupt and dodge thing. Why not just introduce NEW traits that would, in NG's opinion make the game last longer and let US decide if it is better by offering players, starting from platinum tier to CHANGE their traits, ones per cycle. The higher the platinum tier a player has, the greater number of traits the player can change. It would accomplish at least two things. First - no more complaints about nerfs. If you don't like a trait, get to the platinum tier and change it. Second - there would be a reason to get those influence points attacking and defending outpost
From labrat to labrat: Certainly NG knows better how we should play the game. They have data analysts who do nothing else but finding out how we play and how to get more money out of us. Focusing on outposts is already their strategy. The fun of challenges is nerfed already and the low level grind is still in: they don't want us labrats to press the "challenge" button. That's why there're no leaderboards from monday to wednesday.

Well since this affects everyone, and most players still don't understand why this challenge was so difficult and would have resulted in much lower star totals without gas boosters, health speed up for shooters and the extra shooter damage. NG has been tinkering with raider/savior/Freeman numbers for the last few updates and since wikia isn't updated with this data.... Basically NG steered this event for new players, EXP was greater at lower levels and most new players wouldn't have gotten to level 15 where the EXP drops from previous levels and the Freeman health starts dramatically increasing.
Awesome,.... only thing I buy these days are gas boosters for challenges,.. Been on spending freeze since last announcement Definatly got my support on spending freeze,. As a lot of our guild members are also doing
Not sure if my word has any weight around here, but this thread makes us out to be far more sinister and conniving than we really are.
We monitor the challenge data pretty carefully, and add more events to track when we need them. We don't have any reason to make the play experience worse for anyone, let alone veterans.
We did want to roll out the carpet for the new players, so new menus and episode events and lots of shiny rewards came in. But those affect everyone, and I especially worked hard to make sure the top players were not forgotten in the plans. I'd like to think that you are enjoying the tough trials and the token and phone rewards, and the increased TG drops from challenges and the veteran-heavy selection of items in the TG shop. But maybe not.
I'll keep working to bring you the best game we can make. I'll keep advocating for veterans and making sure they are included in every update with at least some new content to play or collect or beat up. We won't implement something that disagrees with our vision or the trends we see in the data, but we will work with you for opinions, preferences, direction, and even maybe early test releases if we can ever get far enough ahead of the schedule. But we'll need to back away from this adversarial relationship to make it work.
Probably a bad idea for me to post here; if you have hate to throw my way, at least send it to my inbox. I hope I haven't offended anyone with what I have said here; though I'm accused of it a lot, I never intend to insult any of our players.
