-Those level 18+ defenders most likely belong to a player who should have a higher influence score. Assuming that the log in and play to collect the rewards we have set up for everyone, they will rise higher and not be in your matchmaking category any more.

It takes time, but we do expect the matchmaking situation to improve as the cycle goes on. And with doubled Influence rewards, you should be able to rise to 300+ yourself even if you only win 1 in every 3 or 4 raids.

If you face a couple of opponents in a row that are too tough, you can flee after you get the flag for no penalty, and possibly no healing times. Then play some other game modes and come back in the next session to see if things have gotten better.

Did anyone notice that you can't use all of your defensive resources? I have 2 tanks and can't place them both now. It says I am missing a point. That is ludicrous. I feel like this game is aimed at the people who grew up where everyone is supposed to get a trophy no matter what - you can't have a 'loser'. Let's face it - there is supposed to be competition and people who have leveled should be able to win and the people who lose are supposed to lose something. They are trying to appease everyone and get people to spend money so everyone is on an even playing field - that won't happen. There is such a thing is slowly leveling without spending money and those players should be able to win too...but not when the rules change every two weeks. I hate this game. Batman ark ham underworld is fun.

@Teliantes , the # of special walkers is dependent on the map, which map are you using?

I'm not enjoying the new outpost. I have tried 5 times and 5 times I have been matched with someone so far above me their zombies were 4 levels higher than my characters! I liked the old ability to choose who you attacked. If it stays as it I just won't bother with the outposts at all

-This didn't change in 2.1. What probably happened is that you upgraded your walkers, but didn't select a defensive map that has enough deployment points.

As the player advances, they gain access to new maps with more deployment points than the earlier ones.

Try a map from farther along the list and you should be able to find one that allows you to use all your walkers.

-You can simply choose to not play them. Your influence will decrease as players defeat your defenses, but you are never obligated to set up new defenders or change your maps.

-We're going to be looking to change the matchmaking algorithm to account for defensive strength even more than we already do. This kind of change requires a lot of testing and unfortunately cannot be made quickly.

In the current system, I expect your matches to improve as the cycle continues and more players of higher levels rise above their current influence ranks.

    1. TB box is far away so unable to reach it without fighting with defenders

    2. Because of cover place and dodge under stun it is difficult to raid it without wounds.

    3. Not enough turns to kill all defenders because of No.2

Rest map are just different and easier to create attack. On this map always everything looks the same.

90% of Outpost has this map ;( Just remove it ;)

I've raided someone who had this exact setup. Are you Navy in game?

I have level 18 defenders but I find it difficult to rise in influence when my offensive team (also level 18 with good equipment) winds up in the hospital for hours.

Wow. The patch of increasing attack by 10% is not at all effective. I just took 3 lvl 19 survivors to attack 3 lvl 19 survivors. They shoot ONE TIME and my folks are bleeding. I shoot ONE TIME and make barely a dent. The same thing happened when I attacked 3 survivors at lvl 17 with my lvl 19 peeps. It's taking 4-5 hits to take them down. I'm taking fully upgraded equipment so that's not the problem. Maybe I can't upgrade my folks traits enough...

Also, I thought that if you were able to get to the loot you still get the TG at the end of the raid even if you lose and don't get the influence. Am I wrong? Do you have to win the raid to get everything?

Your get TG's for opening the crate
You get Influence if you kill all the defenders

Ok. I just attacked an outpost to try for the bonus weekend. I was matched with a player 2 levels above me with zombies a level above my attackers. I made it to their gate but when opened 11 zombies swarmed my trailing attacker and killed him. I shot and stabbed the only defender I could reach through 3 turns, only injuring him while he killed my remaining 2 attackers with 1 assault on each turn. Please explain how this is fair?

@DrPsychedelic Is this different from what matchmaking was before latest update, or is there difference to your opinion? I havent noticed any difference myself. What is your current influence level? My recommendation is to "tank" your influence to get more enjoyable outpost raids. You can do this by losing matches on purpose - start new raid and flee immediately. Fleeing no longer puts your team members to hospital. During this event, it will cost 1 gas per -12 influence in average. After a day or two match making will be finding better outposts for you. Just remember NOT to kill defenders but instead leave after getting TG chest. This way your influence will not rise to level where raiding would just result in lots of hospital time. Of course this would not work if everyone did the same but to my experience most people are too influence greedy :)

@tallinie before update i could see how trons are walkers and defenders, and if i think no chance i go the next outpost.
now i cant see anything important info, only witch class defenders are, this is soo unimportant for my consideration, do i attack or do i not

I used to skip only outposts where walker level was low due to low rewards (xp and tg), and since 2.1 walker reinforcements only come after opening gate so it would have been more difficult to kill defending team as well if you couldnt charge survivors special charge attacks by killing enough walkers.

Why was this changed at all?

IF i won , ,maybe 3 of 10 raids, it ends like this
mostly i loose it looks harder than this

i run i lvl 18 walkers, with half hp i was at door
    defender lvl was 16+17
before update, i would go next outpost

    healing time 1h40, 25 min 1h40
yeah it cost only 1 gas pretty nice so i have to wait 1h40 to raid the next one hahahah good joke, and NO i spend no gold for healing
  • tallinietallinie Member Posts: 407
@Gunny_Highway I think that is how it is intended to be since recent updates. Tough matches, which you can usually win but your team ends up in hospital, in more or less severely injured condition. Of course you dont need to push to kill defending team if it appears to be too strong to be killed without injuries. Exit and move on to next outpost. Which is likely to be equally much fun.. :) One thing you could do is what NG proposed - play challenges and story missions and exploration missions and when you are about to go to work / school / sleep then do some raids as it doesnt matter then that all your survivors are in hospital for several hours... Another way is tanking your influence but not sure how long it still works.

Hi, I would like to explain what else I don't like in the system adopted now for the outpost. First of all when my attackers fail a raid I lose a huge amount of influence points. When my defence win, I often dont get anything (see pictures in attachment)

Second: it seems that players who didn't spend their TGs to upgrade their walkers have an advantage. WHY? Because now there aren't succesive waves of incoming walkers. For example I was trying to raid Terminates outpost. She only has 4 1-level common walkers as defenders. I was not able to fully charge all my attackers without losing one for the 7 turns for the final raid (after opening the gate): I failed the raid! So, after I waste my time/resources for the hard earned TGs, spend to upgrade/capture my walkers, I found out that it was better to not spend TGs at all for this porpose.

Third: I've already explain in one of my previous comments that players should lose their TGs if successfully raided. Otherwise, players are only focusing on not losing influence: they choose outpost locations where it is really hard to be defeated regardles of the fact that it is really easy to grab their stash.

Sorry for my poor english. Cheers

    @Rapax
    Thanks for your post!

We're going to be working on all of the issues you listed. We want influence to be a bit more volatile, and for gains and losses on defense to be meaningful. Players were acting in unintended ways when TGs could be stolen, and we want everyone to be able to participate in the TG shop. For now, we are not planning to go back to being able to steal TGs,

The minimum defending walkers issue is also being addressed in 2.2, so I hope you see fewer empty outposts once that change is in effect.

@Shteevie Please increase amount of turns to 10
Only 7 means horrible rush to TG box...
