Best Outpost since 2.1

Just want to see what everyone thought on how to setup for the best outpost defense. What area are you using? Where do you place your walkers/defenders? What are the best defenders for outpost defense? If you have screenshots that would be even better, and if you don't want to show where your defenders are I understand.

    The best strategy is to have only 4 walkers in the outpost in Update 2.1, which not enough walkers for your attacker to kill and charge up their special ability before opening the gate.
    If you didn't capture more walkers in the Walkers Pit before then you're lucky to use this as your advantage.

    I think the best map for outpost is RuralField setting up like this layout because most of the map is RuralField and setup exactly like this:

    The bottom line of defence work best for Warrior or Bruiser with wide area or concussion trait weapon.
    There is NO higher rarity when we use all legendary to craft the badge, we are being punished for having a chance to get LOWER rarity.
    This is NOT WORKING AS INTENDED & it's UNFAIR.

    @Monsuta Totally agree. Would be great change to be able to choose how many standard walkers you want to place to your outpost. So it would balance game for those who did upgrade their walker pit earlier.

    As it stands, most of us have spent many thousands of tg on what is now a liability: walkers to charge up the special abilities of the people who raid us.

    They should just put the waves back in as they were before. However, I think they should let outpost walkers attack the defenders now. With the new rush-to-the-crate if you want tg, it's more likely for defenders to get in-between attackers and walkers, and it makes no sense that the walkers won't attack defenders.

    haix. i spend all the TG just to max out the number of walker and their lvl so they have difficulty hitting my special zombie while the incoming next wave probably 8 will give them a headache.

    Now without the wave of zombie, enemy can just take their time slowly takedown the existing zombie and charge up. what a waste.

    I would eat that defense alive.

    Your 3 characters are spaced in a way that a single assault charge can stun them all. The bruiser can't immediately attack a well positioned attacker because of the barricade. The melee class there is hamstrung and would take 2 turns just to land a hit.

    That entire map that most people use is my favorite to raid for this very reason. The hardest opponents are the ones that have all 3 defenders with line of sight on gate opening (and within range to star wailing on the attackers), but positioned in such a way that you can't hit more than one at a time with a single attack. On gate opening you have a disadvantage as 1 of your players cannot make an offensive move after opening. This map allows you to open then move in for a blitz where all 3 attackers get an offensive turn.

    I won't ruin my success in the outposts by discussing further. If everyone used a strategy similar to mine ... Well that would just make it harder for me.

    I'm at 19/19 successful defenses since the update with 0 losses - including squads of 3x legendary attackers. The most defenders I've lost to an attacker is 1 with 3/3 of them dead.

    For now, I'm looking forward to a worthy opponent.

    @daegun I like your pov on using an assault on that ss. Stun resistance on outpost armor is awesome for counter balancing that.

    Regarding the placement of the bruiser, would it be better 1 or 2 spaces to the right?

    That outpost map is just bad in my opinion ... but know that my opinion is only relevant given my particular strategy for outpost defense. I hate to point this out because 90% of people who CAN use rural fields do so and use this setup which is easy to raid.

    The few people I have raided that use a similar approach to my own are nasty opponents to face - usually sending 3/3 of my attackers to hospital. Thankfully, I've only run across one such person who used the class balance I use, and that one person sent all 3 of my guys to the grave and I lost. I learned from that one guy - and since haven't legitimately lost since hitting survivor level 19 and having well chosen max level gear. I "lost" countless times before this last update due to people either derping out and bailing after the first objective or quitting out after the gate without cleaning up.

    So what's the best defense setup?

    Mine.

    If it wasn't I wouldn't use it :smile:

    The next time you fail miserably to an equally matched opponent take note of what they did. My setup is the result of raiding hundreds of times and slowly altering my setup in all the annoying ways "they" had theirs set up.

    Of course Rural Farm is much easier to beat in update 2.1 but raiding the same map is boring

    For me it's a joke.
    I've the Oupost completly upgraded, how can I now remove wall the wallkers in it? I agree, that with this update it's the best tactics, but please....

    Raiding specific opponents isn't on the docket - but maybe to test out a guildie's defenses someday? We have been thinking about PvP in the context of Guilds; no promises yet, but that is part of the reason we're spending time improving Outposts now.

    @Steevie improving Outpost like the game itself is what everyone desires to improve the game. But not promoting attack and give adantage to defence, is disappointing. How can we defeat anyone, if we only have 7 turns to do it, with so many luckys and dodges. Why who as few walkers on the pit is benefited. Why even when we can beat someone our team goes for Hospital for 2/3 hours. With this who feels desire to attack in Outpost. Besides, I attack Guild Challenge until it's no longer possible, and that tooks all challenge time. What's left is saturday afternoon, Sunday, and Monday Morning, for resources . Where Outpost stays? Spending time to do this... sorry but I don't think is the way...

    @daegun Most people dont have optimal traits and maxed out gear. As soon as luck/dodge issues are fixed then Im pretty sure you will start losing defenses as well.
