First match I am matched up with a player of the same level. Load in to 3 level 17 fatties standing in front of my team. Flee. I am not filling my hospital queues on a loss. Thanks but no thanks.
I made 2x raids. Both Rural Farm. 1 st - not even bruised 2nd - some health issues @Teeceezy Death or heavy injured takes almost the same healing time which is little odd. 2 hrs 25 min of healing heavy injury is definitely too long that's why ppl avoids Outposts.
One try so far. Got bruised on the first walkers. After opening the gate even with all chares full I couldn't even get the first defender to bleed. Flee. Went to hospital that way last night, and cannot afford hospital time when trying to get stars. Even with this bruise I need to wait an hour for me to get new stars.
The actualization is even worse, now you fight random people and everyone is two or three levels above your's survivors. Not to mention the zombies are stronger than your best survivor.
My case level 14 characters fighting level 17 zombies and defenders.
End of the raid, 3 minutes left, only get a flag one survivor heavy injury, another one bruised, the last one in perfect.

I tried to comment on the actions of the devs and not make it personal like I've seen so many posts where they are called thieves or called incompetent because they don't deserved to be called names or told they're incompetent. I didn't like the fact that every update has "improved outpost match making" listed in the update and to me the only update that helped match making was the 2.0 update. People at the top of the leaderboard have trouble finding matches and in general for me it doesn't seem like we need to be locked into one choice but rather need more choices. I also think that all the bugs need to be fixed in outposts instead of updating them every month that results in major changes every time.

I've obviously seen all the changes come and go through outposts and it's always been a mess when it could be so much more. Instead of giving an honest opinion I will just hijack threads from now one so that I can complain that you need to change the rural map every chance I get.

So. If a new player comes in, builds up his outpost and has 0 influence, he can NEVER make it to Platinum III. He will reset to 0 every cycle. If you are already in Platinum tiers you have a chance to stay there. But will anyone else get there? Nope! I have to trust that NG is going to match me up better than they currently do now with this blind matching system. I can currently get my survivors to level 15 and have a walker strength of 62. Yet I get matched up with 3 level 17s with a walker strength of over 100. I can't win that raid so I choose an outpost that is more evenly matched. Awesome job NG! I am officially out of the Outpost game as I am only Gold Tier III. I won't make it to Platinum Tier III with the healing time required. I guess you will make it so we will lose our TG from raids too since that is another way to change the outposts in a negative way.
It says that players will not be reset unless you're platinum or above, so how can that be interpreted as being reset to zero and never being able to get to platinum? If anything, the platinum players should feel hard done by because they're being reset. Personally, I don't care about a meaningless virtual leaderboard, some people become obsessed with it, so much so that it affects how they treat others, so I've never really been one for being bothered about leaderboards.

Since Teeceezy is on I'm going to ask if the pop up saying your outpost has been attacked isn't coming up anymore, was this an intended change? It's been like that since the 2.1 update.

I'm not sure how pointing out someone is being extremely disrespectful is judgemental. There is a way for people to behave and as I said in my post, people should think of how they'd like to be treated at work or their family members to be treated at work before behaving like that. So none of that is judgemental, you said it yourself, you're going to hijack threads - children and trolls do things like that.

Hey guys! Great game and awesome concepts! I've been playing this game for a year now. Mainly on and off simply because of the delayed timing between upgrading. Sadly i'm not a huge fan of the latest outpost updates. My reasons: - Before hand, I could use crates to find a suitable opponent to keep myself from dropping tiers. Nothing kills you more than a last defense lost that puts you at 2999 before an ending cycle. - With the new update, I am force the deal with blind luck or "X" out. What's the difference if I can't see what levels I'm up against? Showing only the rarity doesn't help that much. - In case I land on 3 opponents 5 levels above me, I have the fleeing option at the cost of precious trophies. Not only that we are using crates to blindly find a suitable opponent but the cost comes with the "trophy" price too. I can accept losing trophies from a battle but now I'm also gambling my tier trophies finding an oponent to try to go up in tiers before I even get a chance to raid for trophies? I understand how making it blind choosing can spice things up but we lost the element of "guarantee" with the update. The system works for Big level players but doesn't favor the young outposts. I'm down 119 trophies from blind choosing and some fleeing, I haven't won a strategic battle since the update and the cycle just started. I can never find players below me and I always get attack from players above me. Any comments guys? I really like this game but this is a huge set back from my perspective. Cheers.
@Amiga you can always join us in the higher influence tiers if you want to see some real tough players. There's a bunch above 4000 that have 2 and 3 purple star heroes and they hit a lot harder.
Im out of outpost for the time being, as i speculated these changes add nothing and make outpost even less attractive than before.
Matchmaking is still broken you just dont know it until your in the match now where before the skip rectufied it.
The biggest annoyance personally is not been able to see the map, i used the skip button to find other maps so i didnt have to run broken rural double sandbags for the gazillionth time.
Taking choice away from the player is never good and 2.1 as a whole has seen us lose many choices we were free to make previously.
@Shut_Up Nowadays you meet those purple survivors even at the lower tiers. Or maybe I am just unlucky cos that is caused by the new matchmaking.
Afaic playing Outpost during the week collides with earning stars for the challenge. Why should I send my A- and possibly B-Team to hospital when I need them for the higher level maps?
And usually there are grind-as-much-as-you-can-events on weekends. So there is nearly no time left to do some raids.
But I appreciate some of the latest changes: I like that the maps are less maze-like and that NG was able to stop the grab the flag and run raids.
Nonetheless the expectation of hospital bills and the time consuming grind for stars and resources stop me from raiding.
Tried the 'new' blindmatching system: got my levl 15 survivors into a map facing a full platoon of level 17 walkers, plus level 18 defenders.
How on Earth is this supposed to be 'balanced'? Not even close.
I'm not gonna play Outposts anymore until something changes. Come and raid me, I will put a set of low level defenders in crappy suit and not even setup walkers for your pleasure.

Although I got bruised a few times, I found it more competitive and thus more enjoyable. Most of the time I grabbed the stash with my scout and completed without attacking the defenders, but sometimes I did.
I did not get the same map all the time too, I thought I might but I didn't, was a good mixture. You can still close the search and thus skip opponent without the button being there, I mostly skipped legendary opponents. You can also tell if you're playing a high level player because the influence reward is higher.
All things considered, I like the update and as a developer myself, I appreciate that the developers are constantly working on the game for us and are always looking for feedback. How many developers change things because people on the forum had a consensus they didn't like it? Not many. So I appreciate the fact that the game is always evolving which keeps people from getting bored.
Anyway, the main thing is to have fun, don't get fixated or obsessed with leaderboards and stars because then it becomes like a job and not fun, that's how I'd feel anyway

Even if damage is buffed, the second match I went into had level 17 armored zombies, I cannot even kill one without losing a majority of my hit points. How is this in anyway shape or form supposed to be attractive to anyone but top tier players.

I am pretty agitated with the change right now, but can someone please explain how matchmaker was improved? Where is the balance in favor of the attacker if the first thing I have to do after the first round is heal a bleeding survivor. And that is before I have even moved from the position I spawn in.

Didn't like the last lot of changes as outpost were useless, hard to find much other than 2 or 3 leg, so struggled hard to keep over 3000, mad that no notifications on raids as well
Now did my first post update raid!
Again got higher than me, but managed it! And got more stuff than usual, but 45 min hospital time
Hate that have no idea who we are up against, loss of choice, can't pass the gate fully charged etc etc, all what everyone else is saying
Come on NG!! Listen and act quick, I have the money for the game but a, getting seriously bored now

Outpost has three weak spots:
- Dodge under stun status
- Long healing time
- Rural Field map
My reasons:
- Before hand, I could use crates to find a suitable opponent to keep myself from dropping tiers. Nothing kills you more than a last defense lost that puts you at 2999 before an ending cycle.

I made 4 raids (3 times Rural Shit) and now my raiding team is eliminated for 2.5hr
