Interrupt / Overwatch Issue with Freemen - Bonus Attack ?

Hi,
we all know that ranged Interrupt with Freemen and Walkers is a bit funny, but please check my video snippet from Back Alley mission.
I clearly "interrupt" the hunter raider and it seems he still goes into overwatch.
When I'm moving towards him he still can shot me as he gets a "Bonus Attack" (0:50).
Is this expected behaviour ?
I can't tell it 100% but I have the impression that he can't get that "Bonus Attack" when he went more fields before he gets interrupted.

If interrupting happens within 1AP, the opponent will get overwatch - is that "expected", e.g. "programmed by intention" - behaviour ?
(we can also move this thread into strategy / general discussion if this is intended).

Simple solution - stop completely opponents action after interrupt.
But the messages that appear after attack are really messed up, I get "silenced" without the trait, "swift strike" on ranged attack, "sure shot" when taking a hit etc.
