Abandoned guilds on top of leaderboard?

Ok, we all know the guild leaderboards are not working as desired.
Still, at the beginning of each challenge we see a bunch of guilds on top with impossible scores.

This was taken today 13 minutes into the challenge:


Typically none of these guilds earn another star during the week, just stay stagnant.
Are they abandoned? Or test guilds for NG?

    We spot-checked this list, and those guilds are not all abandoned. We'll continue to monitor the issue, and are of course working on improving the general state of leaderboards as fast as we can.
