As a non-American, I don't know Kathy Griffin.

But it's clear from reading Trump's reaction and her apology that she totally did it the wrong way.

She should obviously have denied that the head in any way was a reference to Trump and have said that the picture was manipulated, was never even taken and that it was a very old photo anyway.

Then she should have attacked Trump's reaction, calling him overly PC, made fun of his 11-year old son being scared of the photo and questioned whether he was actually the president or an imposter.

Then all would have been forgotten or forgiven and she would have been able to stay in her job for another four New Year's Eve gigs, right?

All due respect DLich, the president has done FAR more harm in since he started running, not to mention the last 3 mos (shall I list them?) than a tasteless photo. She apologized. That's more than Ted Nugent ever did for tweeting about cutting Obama and Hillary's heads off (which trump defended). Birther Movement anyone? So Give me a break with the outrage. #Fakenews
