2.6 is awesome for new players.. but is a huge slap in the face for anyone that has 2*+ survivors. I think there should be a way to earn a reroll for your survivor traits... so when you do a call, there should be a chance to earn a re-train token... and you can use the re-train token to get 5 new random traits for any survivor...
Thank you for fixing the bugs, especially the charged bug which hasn't worked for over six months.
All players should thank @PR0DJ for providing the necessary videos and statistics to prove charge was not calculating attacks based on upgraded weapons.
As to the rest of the changes in the update, I'll just say, has anyone requested another council upgrade since the last one?
@jester yes some people screwed us all by asking for it. Let this be a lesson.
In a way, all of us has an El Guapo to face. For some, shyness might be their El Guapo. For others, a lack of education might be their El Guapo. For us, El Guapo is a big, dangerous man who wants to kill us.
@guapo. Unfortunately adding new levels to give us "new" content should be and probably is A LOT easier (translates to cost a lot less) to implement then a new story missions, fixing hero tokens, fixing Freeman combat logic, opening up closed story missions, walker pit fixes, or any number of things that could have been done that the user community has been clamouring for months.
We asked for new content and they gave it to us and I fully expect council 22 in 2.7 in August/September and council 23 in 2.8 in November/December with notices on various maxed buildings saying council 26 required to upgrade after the 2.8 update.
I personally do not mind the council update. The council level increase allows for an additional supplies storage (based on in game tag) and and additional 750k XP storage. It is also allowing for mission car and hospital upgrades.
What really peeves me off is the training grounds and workshop upgrades coming so soon after the last one. And this only affects end game players. Negatively. Very negatively. I had expected the next council level to not include TG/WS upgrades as has happened in the past. Now all the base level 21 gear I have purchased/found over the past 2-3 months will be heavily devalued. I have already stopped looking for more gear and will ignore the 12.5k/7500/3000 gears in the TG store. Weapon bundles are a joke now. I have already scrapped base level 21 legendary gear with decent traits as it would now be a waste to upgrade it. I will not make the same mistake as I did going from 20 to 21 and rush anything. And as I have a reasonable amount of fully upgraded base level 21 gear, I will not spend any TG until I can get guaranteed lvl 22 gear, which will likely take a couple of months with the building cost upgrade amounts. After I have enough lvl 22 gear upgraded, only then will I begin upgrading survivors. I figure somewhere around the time for the next update, I will ready for this one
@Warlord TAG! You're it. Are we playing? I can't figure out what part of that was supposed to be for me.
In a way, all of us has an El Guapo to face. For some, shyness might be their El Guapo. For others, a lack of education might be their El Guapo. For us, El Guapo is a big, dangerous man who wants to kill us.
@jbuoy. With indications that at least council 23 are in NG's plans, my plan is to just upgrade the camp and that is it and stick with 21 gear and survivors until then. Why beat myself over the head with upgrade cycle like some hamster on a wheel? Once it settles down, then make the push, maybe around spring cleaning event of 2018
I know this will be pointless but what the hell...(game)life is short
Is there any reason why you feel the impetus to needlessly punish your top players/big spenders? Because the changes in the last 2 updates have been counterproductive to keeping your whales (and many others to be fair) happy...and while I doubt you care I hope you realize this is actually NOT good
Example: I've owned my business for 18 years...and try to do right by everyone...if I all of a sudden just give a big middle finger to my largest clients that provide a significant financial security blanket over my business and employees I can't possibly see how that can be good?? It's one thing to make a mistake or two...that's life...but making a mistake and then doing the same thing over and over reeks of either stupidity or incompetence
I didn't tag you @Teeceezy as I know you're just the messenger of these imprudent decisions...and I don't expect him to answer reasonably...I just had to ask as it flies in the face of every successful long-term business I've ever known...so call it curiosity I suppose
You better check yo self before you wreck yo self...cuz I'm bad for your health, I come real stealth
@Guapo. Agreeing with you. We asked for new content and NG took the easy way out. Guess there is some filter on feedback we give them that leaves out most of what we tell them we want
I'm a little disappointed about the council upgrade/new max level since I've been trying to get to max, but on the plus side, it will allow players to continue progressing and have a reason to "grind" aka play the game.
With additional council upgrades hinted at in the future, it's a good reminder to just play and have fun without worrying about rushing through. And those who like to speed things up don't have to worry about hitting a wall and getting bored because there's nothing new to aim for.
I'm excited about new survivor and weapon traits - new combos to experiment with, things like ruthless on a survivor and weapon could combine with existing traits in fun and powerful ways.
Bug fixes are always welcome, and TG store changes to allow more hero tokens have long been requested.
Count me among the few forum participants who are optimistic about the update. I won't be threatening to quit the game anytime soon.
Level 22 weapons will be available in the TG Shop or Challenge rewards for players of camp level 61 or greater, or for all players when completing missions of difficulty 21 or greater. - Rare, Epic, and Legendary Gear Crates will guarantee level 22 equipment for players at camp level 63.
@Teeceezy Can you confirm that this means that once my camp hits 61, whenever I do a hard scavenge mission, I will only see 22 gear dropped and no more -1 level gear without any regards to workshop or survivor level? Same with challenges, no more -1 gear in the crates at all. And finally, the last part only applies to crates sold in the shop meaning that gear levels are now based solely off of camp level and survivors, etc no longer factor into it?
@Teeceezy can you please confirm that players having three or more level 22 survivors or heros will not only still start the challenge at level 15 like your announcement states, but that the first multi stage level will remain at level 20 and not increase to level 21. Any change/increase to where the first multi stage level begins will have a huge negative impact on our ability to earn challenge stars just like starting at level 14 versus level 15 does today. Thanks for your help.
Platinum call. Meh. I don't see any difference between this and the 15 radio call except that one result is guaranteed to be a hero. I'd rather take my chances on regular survivor tokens on a 15 call. IMHO, 3 15-radio calls will be better (and 5 radios cheaper) than 2 25-radio calls. Even a 15-radio call plus 2 5-radio calls will be better than a 25-radio call. The only reason to even consider a 25-radio call is if you want ANY hero tokens and don't care what they are, and aren't into upgrading regular survivor tokens so much. That's definitely not me. BUT, I don't *have* to do the 25-radio call and (as long as it's not nerfed) I can still do a regular 15-radio call if I desire, so this doesn't really impact me in the long run.
New council upgrade is both exciting (I'm just about to max out on tomatoes by the end of the week, so I'll have something to spend them on; lowered hospital times; more gas in the car) but also a little daunting (I only just upgraded survivors to level 21 at the end of May when the 'fix' came out).
I am surprised that no one has mentioned one of the best parts of the update: something I have been asking for ever since the TG shop was introduced: the ability to re-purchase offers in the TG store multiple times! Sure it's only for the hero tokens, and only for gold, but I wasn't using my gold for anything else other than guild gifts. Thank you @Shteevie and @Teeceezy for giving us the ability to purchase a TG store offer multiple times! I only hope that this will be made available for EVERY offer in the TG store eventually, and not just for hero token offers.
@TransmuteJun I agree that the multiple tokens-for-gold purchase in the TG store sounds very good. But I feel bad for your guildmates who now presumably won't get their gifts
@NCDawgFan he already confirmed that level 22 will start 3 levels at rsl 21

Great update notes and looking forward to all the new content !
I just finished upgrading my last and 40th survivor to lvl 21 to so this update is coming at the right time.
Even though many end game users have to scavenge for new gears again, having the new traits will also help in that department of finding and exploring it while also being able to take it to the next level.
With all the walkers hp buffs lately, we are bound to have another TG and Workshop to help push us to another level of gaming to handle those tough high level walkers.
Everyone has the choice to upgrade or not. You can stay at lvl 20s/21s with all perfect equipment or take that leap forward to explore the unknown roads ahead of you.
I hope NG continues to add council upgrades as we move forward! Why not let us do like 3-5 council update next time! That should solve the tomatoe problem for the rest of the year!
Either way take this as your journey through no mans land and enjoy the ride!
@TransmuteJun I agree that the multiple tokens-for-gold purchase in the TG store sounds very good. But I feel bad for your guildmates who now presumably won't get their gifts
I'll make sure they get them... I try to give at least 2 gifts a month, and when they discount the gifts, everyone jumps in. We had a guild gift extravaganza when it was discounted to 100! But I have a nice stash of gold that I'll be using on some TG store tokens, that's for sure.
As a newer player (started last october) who hope to reach end game, this is my perspective. I get close to level 20, player cap is increased to 21. I am now close to level 21 and player cap is increased to level 22. I can only conclude that end game is moving faster than I can keep up, and I am now left a bit frustrated and wondering if I should keep playing the game.
Yeah I understand...I guess it depends on how you roll through life and obviously I roll different
Putting money above everything else is one way to get through life...if you're not concerned about your soul I say have at it
My question for @Shteevie was being asked with the idea that they are solely focused on money above all else which is blatantly obvious...he just fails to understand that keeping your biggest clients happy is usually the smartest way to make even MORE money...and that's where my curiosity was piqued
You better check yo self before you wreck yo self...cuz I'm bad for your health, I come real stealth
I have to agree with @SmittySpivey3, once you have a pink star you should get to acquire a new trait. Its only fair. I'll stop their because anything else I say will be counterproductive and thats the NG way
Let's assume the new traits prove to be as desirable as most of them look on paper. Every survivor we have worked on since any of us started playing has just been outclassed and rendered obsolete.
What about the 19 heroes that have been released so far? It's no secret that a regular survivor with pink stars out-performs those heroes now. Are you planning to update some or all of the heroes with some of the new traits? If not, 19 heroes just became even less desirable.

If you have fun, you should keep playing regardless of your survivor level.
There better be a shit ton of new content.
