Today we'll be changing the starting cost of building the outpost to make it considerably lower. The team were looking at building costs for each of the buildings and noticed that the cost of building the outpost was way too high, and was out of line with other buildings at the same level. The cost of upgrades for the outpost might also change, to bring those in line with other buildings at certain council levels, but that's not happening now and will be communicated before it happens.
Only the price of building the outpost has changed thus far, not the upgrade costs, and whilst the change would be reasonably significant for very low level players, for high level players and maxed players such as yourselves the change represents an incredibly small number of supplies.
@vshield50 We'll be starting to release more information in the run up to the update about what'll be in 2.7. What I will say is that I'm very excited about something in 2.7 in relation to the challenges, but can't say any more at this moment in time.

The moderators here did start to tease the new update with some information, but it would be nice if they did more. Perhaps one new tidbit about the update daily for a couple of weeks prior to release would help bolster interest in the update. IMO, that would be better than just blasting the release notes out all at once.

I don't know what metric you are using for your "cost of building the outpost was way too high, and was out of line with other buildings at the same level" comment, but let's assume you are basing it on a % of the average at that level. So for example, the average of all buildings at level 5 is 110,830. Outpost costs 710,000 or 6.4x the average for that level. It's 6.3x at level 4, and so on... So let's assume this was your metric. I propose anything over 2x the average is egregious. I have made all the calculations below and have highlighted the ones that are more than 2x. Please note the averages WILL change for levels 6 and up as buildings are made up-gradable.
A summary of these charts shows that: Hospital - Levels 6, 7, and 10, 11 Workshop - Level 2 Outpost - All Levels Walker Pit - Levels 1-7 Mission Car - Levels 6, 7, & 10 Radio tower at levels 2, 3, 5-10 XP Tent - Level 11
Council, Training Grounds, and Workshop will almost definitely be in this category once the other buildings catch up to change the average.
I say if you are going to do fix it, fix them all, and for that matter give us a refund.

To not implement new bugs? Well, I am indeed very excited about that as well.
@JerryDixon -- turning this into an App is well above my skillset: I may try to make it shareable at some point when it's completed, but I haven't really worked on it in a couple months so it still needs some tweaking, organizing and some final touches.
