I much prefer ruthless over revenge but the latter isn't bad. But you need to be careful if there are ka-booms, of course... and also if there are Freemen. May happen that your survivor saves a Freeman from a walker. Or a walker from a Freeman. Once they are there, everyone is an ally and an enemy at the same time.
I would say that it depends on what you like and on the rest of your team. I quite like her though she is not perfect (in my book).

They both increase your critical hit chance.
Revenge has some pro and con, but can be very helpful as long as you learn to manage the risks described by Jaden in the comment above.
