Bring back the Ultimate Challenge please
Yet another week of grinding, grinding, grinding and... oh yeah... more grinding.
The Ultimate Challenge was awesome, and looking at the stats (I think it was 83%ish) I'm not the only one who's thinking that.
A full weekend to play The Distance, Scavenge and not to forget, a little quality time with the family. Could life get any better ;-)
I hope you guys bring it back as soon as possible to bring an end to the endless grinding.
Hopefully,
Olivier

> I am not sold on the ultimate challenge. Did anyone actually analyze if the rewards were equal? I think without double guild rewards they would have been less. Also, for a non- maxxed player starting at a higher level and only 2 rounds per level was too limiting on play time. I agree changes are needed to the current format, but I think it is somewhere on the middle of the two options on the table.
It's normal for a non-maxed player to have a more limited playing time because... well yeah... the player isn't maxed... Makes sense, doesn't it?
I have a second lower level account and to be honest, I was quite satisfied with the playing time.
For lower level players, when they get stuck in the challenge, there's much more to do.
* The Distance
* Scavenge
* Outpost
* Last but not least... The Storyline
I don't see why lower players should get more "challenge time" and because of that, high level players have to play for eternity.
You and all other lower level players will become high level players eventually and regret this statement when you finally are.
Looking at it from the other side, I also don't see the problem. I was a low level player once too and I never complained about not getting enough challenge time/stars because... well... I was a low level player.
If you play WOW you also accept that a level 1 player cannot slay a level 50 player. It's simple as that ;-)

Yes it's been analyzed and even without the double rewards it's better in almost every way.

I regret your assuming all endgamers agree with your statement. I’m an end gamer and enjoy “the grind” as you put it...please don’t speak for all of us.
You may be part of the majority but that doesn’t mean you can speak for all of us.
Keep on grinding...
I thought playing was optional...
You don’t like the way it is...some of us don’t like the way it was last week.
Maybe there’s some middle ground where we can both be content.
Then again, since I don’t agree, maybe I’m not worthy of being an endgamer.
Lol
But if I want to reach a challenging point in the current Challenge structure, I have to endure ridiculous grinding for 3-4 days first. There is no way to skip levels.
However, if you want to grind your little heart out in the "Ultimate Challenge" structure that I would like to see permanent, then you have multiple options - from repeating Challenge maps to playing Scavenges or Outpost or the Distance. The only thing you lose is stars, which are illusory.

Humans are by their nature competitive and we ascribe meaning to all manner or rankings throughout our entire lives. This game is no different, and in fact star counts are perpetuated by nearly every guild out there, and especially the leading guilds.
In new challenge this should go down by default. After a short transitioning period. All will get used to 30% reduced stars on Everyone!
Player A, level 23 survivor without any pink star on main team, easy up till level 26, need 768 gas, very very easy grind
Player B, level 23 survivor with 1 pink star on main team, easy up till level 27, need 858 gas, very easy grind
Player C, level 23 survivor with 2 pink star on main team, easy up till level 28, need 948 gas, easy grind
Player D, level 23 survivor with 3 pink star on main team, easy up till level 29, need 1038 gas, normal grind
Player E, level 23 survivor with 4 pink star on main team, easy up till level 30, need 1158 gas, hard grind
Player F, level 23 survivor with 5 pink star on main team, easy up till level 31, need 1278 gas, very hard grind
Probably making a video!

so let it be written so let it be done
The challenge, boys and girls, is finding the time to grind it out all the way to the top. 1700+ stars takes somewhere between eternity and forever.
That's my challenge anyways.
