New guild leaderboard

We need a new guild leaderboard that's better than the current one.
Like a leaderboard that runs 2 weeks or 1 month, so you will have a better view who are the best players in the guild.
Maybe a reward can be included.
And every monthly winner gets a star (in different colors after 6/12/18 etc. wins) behind his name, so it shows how many times he was winner.
So you will have a competitive in-guild competition.

What do you think?
Is this something they should add?

So many things they could do to improve this but clearly choose not to...

Yep - this has been brought up quite a bit in recent months, but this sort of request goes back well over a year. I don't pretend that it was my idea originally, but there have been similar suggestions recently:

This is such a no brainer, it's mind boggling. All the data for this exists, you just have to have some UI person create a leaderboard screen (copy the current one and change a few labels) and have a programmer write the code that looks at this data weekly, then wipes it out when a new challenge starts, just like the star count does.

It's a complete no brainer because this motivated players to score higher each week, gives new players a chance to get some notoriety, and increases revenue for NG because players are more motivated to get to the top of these weekly leaderboards. Seriously, why isn't this in the game already?

I don't think you want to screw around with 'lifetime' stars. People playing forever deserve to be recognized. With that said, I do believe that a change (or potential change) in the number of stars players can expect in a challenge would be a great time for some leader board changes/additions. For example, starting on January 1 2018 have a YTD leader board as well as a weekly leader board and begin tracking YTD personal bests (retain the current 'lifetime' personal bests). In 2019, the YTD leader board gets wiped out (or keep 2018 for posterity and just begin a 2019 YTD LB as well).

This allows the newer players who are kicking ass and taking names to be recognized while still recognizing legendary players that have remained on top of the 'lifetime' leader boards. Plus, this gives players even more incentive to play harder (something I imagine NG's would like). A new, but very good player might never crack the all time top 50, but they could dominate the 2018 weekly and annual leader boards. And they might try quite a bit harder to stay on top of this new YTD leader board. All the data is there... seems pretty light from a development standpoint to slice and dice the data and include these new leader boards.

Seems like a win/win to me.
