I love olives

Black, green, stuffed, pitted, unpitted, red, in martinis, oil, Oyl, the girl from Little Miss Sunshine, mufflata, in pasta, salads, cheese plates, or as a snack.

I don't think there is an olive I've met that I didn't like.

I still have no idea what a fucking pimento is or where it comes from. I suppose I could Google it, but where's the fun in that?

I've been eating olive loaf sandwiches all week.

Scary but true..... you could order some from Amazon
But any place that sells deli meats will have it

But if you are jonesing for some... this will get you out of a pinch
    the pre-sliced stuff

I get it at my local super market. It makes me mad when they slice it too thick. At that point, the olives "pop" out of the baloney (or whatever "meat" it is in, I don't really care).

It really needs to be sliced thin.

This thread is about loving olives. I've had blue cheese stuffed olives in my bloody Mary for two straight days.

I had a thing for Olive loaf for about 4 months when I was around 13. Shortly thereafter, I had to start shaving my legs. Coincidence? I think not.

I'm going to start calling olives "Satan's salty assholes."

That ought to get a great response when ordering pizza: "What do you want on your pizza?" "I'll have mushrooms and Satan's salty assholes!"

7 reasons you MUST eat olives
    1. Cardiovascular benefits. When free radicals oxidize cholesterol, blood vessels are damaged and fat builds up in arteries, possibly leading to a heart attack. ...
    2. Cancer prevention. ...
    3. Skin and hair health. ...
    4. Bone and connective tissue. ...
    5. Digestive tract health. ...
    6. Good source of iron. ...
    7. Eye health. ...
    - Olives eliminate excess cholesterol in the blood.

    - Olives control blood pressure.

    - Olives are a source of dietary fibre as an alternative to fruits and vegetables.

    - Olives are a great source of Vitamin E

    - Olives act as an antioxidant, protecting cells

    - Olives reduce the effects of degenerative diseases like Alzheimer's, benign and malignant tumours, including less serious varicose veins and cavities

    - Olives help prevent blood clots that could lead to a myocardial infarction or deep vein thrombosis (DVT)

    - Olives protect cell membranes against diseases like cancer

    - Olives are a great protection against anaemia

    - Olives enhances fertility and reproductive system

    - Olives play an important role in maintaining a healthy immune system, especially during oxidative stress and chronic viral diseases

    - And just in case these benefits weren’t enough, they are also a great aphrodisiac.

    - Olives are nutritious and rich in mineral content as sodium, potassium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus and iodine

    - Olives provide essential vitamins and amino acids.

    - Olives contain oleic acid, which has beneficial properties to protect the heart.

    - Olives contain polyphenols, a natural chemical that reduce oxidative stress in the brain. So by eating a daily serving of olives helps improve your memory by up to 25%.

    - Just one cup of olives is a great source of iron – 4.4mg.

    - Eating olives can improve the appearance of wrinkles by 20% since they contain oleic acid, which keeps skin soft and healthy.

    - By eating just 10 olives before a meal, you can reduce your appetite by up to 20%. This is because the monounsaturated fatty acids contained in olives slow down the digestion process and stimulate the hormone cholecystokinin, a hormone that sends messages of fullness to the brain.

    - Not only does it do that, but it also helps your body to stimulate the production of adiponectin, a chemical that burns fat for up to five hours after ingestion.
