Every time I jump in one of these posts I get sad.
The grind "fix" was the last time I cared about this game having a future. We have been lied to and tricked into believing we where being listened. Fact is: we are just being exploited over and over.
For me now it's clear that this is the situation. NG will do its' greedy thing over and over and it's up to us to decide if we take it or not. Many have already decided.
It doesn't seem NG is interested in making a historical game, with a passionate community that will hold things for years. NG made an "interactive jackpot machine" and just wants to milk it dry as fast as possible.
I'm unsure of any other mobile game that lasts and keeps improving after 2-3 years after release. I've also not played a freemium game where you can and do get everything for free. The only reason to spend money is to speed things up. Most suggestions which are given to "improve" the game just make it even easier to not spend money. One thing they could do is more challenge maps and to reopen the story mode once completed.
NG will abandon this game once their new Pokemon Go style of Our World comes out. I won’t be playing the new game.
I used to only spend real money on gas boosters when I knew I would have the time to play.
With games issues and bugs not getting fixed I realize that they don’t plan to fix them. I no longer buy anything.
I do the daily grind and that’s it. I still strive to get as far as I can in the Distance but will not spend extra time or money to do so.
I used to love this game. I wish NG would show it some love too.

@Troublemaker Greed is a relative thing. Businesses are supposed to make money, and they strive to make as much as they can. A business' purpose is to maximize shareholder wealth.
Where NG is screwing up is chasing short term earnings over long term company value. When your customers abandon your company's products at high rates, many feeling gouged along the route, a company loses long term value. These customers not only do not buy anything else from the offending company, they often become vocal with their negative opinions that influence others not to buy from that company, or invest in that company. This is especially true in today's social media world.
NG had a big advantage, among others, with a large amount of capital raised early in the company's history. They did not need to engage in these business practices that drove their players away at such high rates.
Very well said and honestly this is a topic and a focal point that has been mentioned several times. You are 100% correct in maximize shareholder value, but I want to add the PC term to it. Ethically Maximize Shareholder value.
So to piggy back onto that. 1.) NG stock has fallen hard 2.) They haven't been Ethical IMO to their consumers with consistent nerfs
The two are directly related. Now for the statement of "These customers not only do not buy anything else from the offending company, they often become vocal with their negative opinions that influence others not to buy from that company, or invest in that company. This is especially true in today's social media world." I don't know if I have influenced anyone or not, but I sure as hell pointed out the decreases in rewards with new challenge which Kaz was kind enough to let us know we are SOL. I also did my daily posts of Poo Bundles which again Devs were nice enough to let us know that its still better than buying from shop.
Both cases instead of taking semi constructive feedback to their business side. They kept pushing fighting and arguing on the board regarding what the company was doing. They showed how the company structure is. They showed that really and honestly they don't give a rats ass about the player. Every nerf wasn't to better the game. Every nerf was to attempt to squeeze more money out of game. In doing so they squeezed out players who spent.
Think about it. First Quarter starts bundles turn to shit. Less Radios and Less Gold in bundles but more TG. No one had issues with TG in old format in many cases consumers who bought a lot viewed it as a throw in.
Then came increased price on weapon bundles, but less gold and no or less radios.
Then came the Council Upgrade. Which could have massively boosted sales if they had done some full supply bundles. Instead we got the tough shit answer. While the upgrade did increase sales not to full potential.
Then the UC BS with the nerf on radios/TG (I posted spread sheets on the topic) now we see why TG increase was in bundles. They took away our phones to make us want TG.
Then comes the missions where Radios are decreased
So at end of day they are making the most important resource Radios the hardest to get unless you buy bundles. They assumed this would lead to more sales, but when in reality it has lead to decrease in players and less sales. Yet NG is still using this logic given the current format of Radio Event.
So in summary what have we learned as consumers? We learned NG don't give a flying F about their consumer. What has NG learned? Answer is either nothing or they don't care.
After another stupid stunt like this weekend's worthless radio event I'm sure the number of players that exit will increase. NG has moved away from the story line. There have been no chapters added in a very long time. All that remains are little side show distractions that clearly diminish game play. You cannot expect players to participate in a contest where your character is at level 24 while your enemy is at level 41. Players will move on to a more common sense game. One that doesn't seek to intimidate or insult them. With the latter part of that sentence occurring weekly.
It's a hard question to answer but, if you joined this game now, and had no idea of what the game was like, would you enjoy it? I am seriously interested as When I joined the next nerf was wrestler, which didn't really affect me as didn't get to +5 in the challenge that often. I still really enjoy it and have certainly played this game more than any previous mobile game before.
That is a tough question to answer. I have been around since October 2015 and have seen so many gates put in players way. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, but many gates that have been put in place are to push players into PTP (especially with the challenge), where I never felt that before. This was the first 'free' mobile game I have downloaded with purchasable upgrades. I have spent real world money on it, but unless NG decides to run this truncated event every month, I believe any further spending is over...
I started in about March 2016. In 2016 I spend somewhere like 500-700
In 2017 due the constant nerfing and ignored bugs i slowed down. In the last few months if 2017 I spend 30/40 on some end of year good bundles and since then nothing and no plan to spend any again
Also! I have shares in a games company and acted as a consultant to that company so understand this business to a reasonable degree.
I totally agree with those here who said NG doesn’t care about us only money and they have seriously got it wrong with NML
I still like the game and will play but only for a bit of fun, for free and to keep, up with the good people here and in the game
I Really CANT see any reason why I would ever ever Spend any money on any game from NG.
But AMC can rest easy in that I still love the show and do not hold them In any way responsible,
Almost bought the armour bundle in the shop today. but until I see something positive on the way my wallet will stay in my pocket. already spent far to much. no more to get excited about it seems
