We have 10 players from many time zones around the world. Most that can fight are 4-5 players at a time. We have players that left to find gw elsewhere. We are not happy to lose players that we need. Most players are decent at the Challenge but then leave to war elsewhere. Language barriers make it difficult to communicate with some players. We get confused messages back n forth. If gw had a lower number to fight like 4-5 at once, then we wouldn't lose much needed players, especially for Challenge stars.... we have been trying like hell to get the players coming and going to fight in wars at same times. But when war begins and only 4-5 players sign up then we stat losing players to other Guilds. We had 15 in Guild and advertise daily every month, when gw began players left us. And keep coming and going. Can't fill Guild enough to play every hour. Merging others Guilds for gw is difficult too because leadership's don't want to lose or share responsibilities... we would just be happy to find groups of 4-5 Fighter's in gw. Then everyone will be happy and stay in Guild. Thank you, BigC
OK I'm fairly upset. Today was day 4 of GW total battle days to date. The first 3 days including yesterday, and the 2 days of the first wknd 2 wknds ago, I had a lot of gas, used up all 3 keys, and had very successful battles, as an individual, and as a guild. We were undeafeted until today. When I entered a GW battle today, I could only get as far as the "start mission" button screen. It was highlighted and made a clicking sound when I hit it but that's it. It wouldn't let me into the battle. I spent the entire day today trying to get it to work. It was surprising, frustrating, and disappointing. I even splurged and bought 20 gas in time for the battles today when I shouldnt be spending money I don't have. My guild lost and I know I could have made a difference if I had been able to battle. Gameplay in other areas worked normally. Please address this issue and fix it before the next guild wknd. Thank you.
I'd like to see the specifics of the battles for the current war, at least until that war is over, but to have it available longer would be great as well. I'm looking for final map results (how far we got, who cleared the guild enemies) and the final stats page for my guild and the opposing guild.
It'd be nice to be able to go into the Guild Wars tab under the Guild button and then be able to tap the specific battle result (where it shows if you won or lost and what your score was) to access the information I'm requesting to be shown.
@Kaz@Shteevie Would this be a possible add down the line sometime?

love the new maps and metal heads. hate the teamwork requirement. please change it, let us hit those maps at our convenience and stop holding the valuable prizes hostage. everyone but a select few will be w/o new Daryl. i pay a lot to play w 2nd best tools.
Bug, Second Chance: I had battle against Carl, I drained first life bar with a hit, second hit, Carl's Second Chance popped. Lastly I hit him again, no damage. I had Abe as leader and 2 hunters. I forgot the order of my attacks. I still won but the healing was not easy on the gold pile.
@Kingofthemolehill that's not a bug with carl, that's how his trait works. If second chance activates he will take no more damage for that turn. Although seems to kick in every bloody time for him when he is defending if I could rely on it like that when I'm using him as an attacker I'd be investing a lot more in him!
If there are back to back battles and someone signs up for wrong battle <hanging head in shame>, it is not possible to realize mistake and correct in 4 minutes before 6 minute lock in on second battle.
I separate signup for slots independent of current war seems like a solution that may help with other coordination problems.

How can you sign for the wrong battle when it starts a hour apart ?

Interesting. I am towards the bottom of my guild with a 900 l minimum, I did not have insurmountable trouble aside from bugs except for the right most sanctuary missions with level 33 walkers.
I could see scaling rewards and difficulty based on tiers if NG is so inclined. That said we got spanked by the 4 top 10 guilds we went up against today... so some improvements may be needed for playability and matchmaking.
> @Kash said: > A GW battle only last 60 minutes, decreasing healing times is great but will limit play time for those of us that don’t spend much gold. Why can’t GW be like Distance where healing does not affect Challenge? As of now we are forced to chose between star count (Challenge) for Leaderboard or playing GW. Thus many players are unable to participate in most if not all GW battles. Since a program is already developed for Distance healing would it be possible to do same for GW?
I agree especially since this is the tail end of the challenge week where some of us are eeking out a mission and waiting on healing to get our last stars in.
I read so many complaints & I do understand many of them to some degree and hopefully NG can improve things of concern in the near future.
My guild was formed after the last war so this last one was the first for my new guild. We have players from all over the world but most of us were able to play & use the majority of our keys. We do use LINE app for some communication but the majority of communication is within game. We'll asked others if they want to join the next battle & other players will either say yes or give a time when they can next join. This gives everyone a good idea when the most players will be available to participate.
Through out the week leading to the war we discussed strategies and times we would possibly be available using LINE app. Laying nothing in stone, it still gave everyone a better idea of when others would be available and what strategies we would try.
When the war was on and we have 7 or more players joined we'll next begin to plain the battle. Who will play which areas etc. Trying different strategies for the best results. Our guild was able to complete all maps once this battle and all other battles were successful, usually missing the completion of one area.
We all enjoy guild wars very much. There is some things that could be improved but I think that's expected for any new thing and it's great that NG is taking feedback from players to fix and improve those things in the future.
Hopefully this post gives other players and guilds some ideas for future wars.
@TJS I think that you maybe played our guild supergreens and absolutely spanked us. If so I just don't understand how you can clear them so quickly without wasting massive amounts of gas? I'm assuming that you all jump in one sector at a time and flood as many people into as possible then move onto another? It was a masterpiece to watch and most of our guild stopped fighting after about 15 minutes to save gas and just watched how quickly your scores ticked up.
@Kaz Hi, here is a little update to ng... the war is over. One of my guild members still get messages from ng wanting him to join the upcoming battle...lol. The messages are comibg every hour and the members name is K2...
Played for the first time this weekend. My observations:
1) Not sure how the bug with the hunters and metallic walkers got through QA and Beta - the bug needs to be fixed AND the process to ID and fix bugs like this before release needs fixed. Would have rather you held off a couple of weeks than release with that obvious bug. Yes, it sounds like a broken record because this isn't the first time or even the second, or third time.
2) Coordination - a lot of complaints. This is not a game issue, but a guild issue. Played multiple MMO games with players all of the world and coordination is done with Line or some other chat and schedule is based on server time after finding everyone's availability. We picked the time when the most would be available for single time events and set multiple times for events that could occur multiple times. Each week, the schedule was the same. However, we didn't have to contend with the minimum participation limit that NG put on guild wars. NG should just set the min to 4 and pull (since they are pulling all of this other info about survivors, weapons, etc.) the three strongest non-participating members as "fill-ins" to get the seven used as opponents. The fill-ins would not lose a key.
3) Gas - REDUNDANT AND ONLY THERE TO GENERATE REVENUE. One of the stupidest decisions I've ever seen in a game design and clearly only put in to generate revenue. You already have three 50 minute events per day which already limits how much you can do. So you go and add even more limits?!?!?!?!?!? Why not say we have to play with only one hand while standing on one leg? DUMP THE GAS REQUIREMENTS The need for gas on top of the timers and keys is a huge turnoff for me for something that otherwise is a pretty decent add to the game.
So inconclusion: FIX THE BUGS and DUMP THE GAS REQUIREMENTS and Guild Wars is a winner. Can live with the 7 min, but having 4/5 min and pulling rest from guild would be a good fix, especially for the less hard core guilds.
Why stop there? Dump normal gas requirements Dump radio requirements for calls Dump xp requirements for upgrading Dump supply requirements for building Dump gold requirements Dump every requirement
There is some movementbin memberships... we had 2 players joining the guild, doing a battle and disapoeared then, hmmm Te playing levels seemed to be a bit more balanced but that is maybe because we are only 2 top players at the moment, the rest is between lvl 35 and 65. If the average of all members gives the parameter which decides the strength of the enemies and walkers that would explain why even the weaker members this time could perform better. On the first battles we were 4 strong players which obviously raised that parameter up and made it almost impossible for the weaker players to succeed.
My conclusion... it is most important to offer 2 teams to play GW. The benefits should be relativatet to the levels. And my feeling is the teams should have 3-5 players each, what makes it max. 10, just like now. I have some bugs ng is working on but i appreciate the good work they do - even if i use to make some very critical arguments from time to time.... as long as we talk and discuss there is hope. To all of you: happy new year
Tune the bot teams. Currently they are significantly harder to beat than the human teams we faced. Issue might be that they assume 10 active players in the opposition team? Certainly "Merle" was able to score faster than 7 of our top players.

It might be a bug then... because Merle has a fixed score. If you score more than 500, then you beat him. But last battle there was a bug where players were playing a real battle, but it was showing that it was against a bot. Let me know if that was the case!

No, we didn't play Supergreens this war. That might have been my previous guild, they are pretty organized too.
This is the battle we completed all areas ;
I can't share our strategy secrets though.

Why's that? 🤔

Thanks for the report! I’ve sent a message to the devs already. We checking what can be done about that at the moment.
