Stars are not counting in this challenge

I am the leader in my group, and I just started playing this weeks challenge. My stars are not counting for this challenge. Why?

Did you accept anyone new and boot/ or lose a player that already had stars? The first 20 to get any stars counts for the week.

That is what I am thinking. We had a short timer that came in for 5 minutes and left and then I accepted a new player that only scored 5 points since Wednesday. So my 1k for this week is not going to count. That just stinks. I am also the leader of my group. Not cool at all.
