THE SKELETON KEY - Scavengers Boon

I've been thinking about this for a long while, for many reasons.
I hear lower and mid range players say they don't do scavenge because it's boring...
I hear endgamers say they don't do scavenge because there's no point... Gear sucks and they don't need XP or tomatoes...
Even on radio events most folks don't even boost, preferring to do 1-gas Beach missions.
Myself, I want to spend money on that booster, but I don't, because Beach missions award just as much radios and they're faster.
Scavenge needs an edge, even a small one might be enough for me to spend that $2 even when I don't need to.

INTRODUCING THE SCAVENGERS SKELTON KEY:

Every time you open one of the x3 chests in a scavenge mission only, there's a 5% chance you find THE SKELETON KEY.
- If you find it, the remaining chests (if any) deactivate and the exit goal illuminates. (Objective compete, head to the exit)
- Upon exiting the mission to the rewards screen, all x9 chests open automatically!
- Breath new life into scavenge with this small tweak.

    Nonono, you need to find three boss saviors, each on different challenge, then there is 0.001 % of them dropping the keys, then you merge three keys in horadric cube and a portal to uber-boss Tristram will open.

    I get that the 3 in game chest correlate with the end mission crates. However, I find them to be more of a nuisance when trying to burn thru with Gov. Perhaps They switch up the requirement to a set amount of kills or a random objective per map to at least give the perception of freshness.

    @ATLAS-Z your idea makes the process easier to deal with.

    Season 7A mission #6 Beach Life

    Do the first easy one, it's the fastest season mission and only costs 1-gas

    Only on radio events

    Guys I'm looking for low-key ways to boost Scavenger appeal.

    Help me brain storm?

    Obviously adding in a theme park and all you can eat buffet would be neat, but also time consuming for developers.

    Give me a reason to buy gas boosters?

    Add reinforcement and reroll tokens to after mission crates in gear scavenges. Also actually increase the chance of gear and phones and gold in them and reduce the chance of xp. If I wanted xp I would do do scavanges.

    Another idea I had was for the survivors used in a scavenge would gain “personal experience points”. Basically gaining hero/survivor tokens for being used. Could be 1 token for 5 missions played?

    @Firekid what's the most # of missions you've scavenged in a weekend?

    500 missions would net you 100 tokens for your hero? x3 if you used three heroes?

    Economy wise doesn't seem to outrageous for that amount of effort.

    I don’t think I’ve ever managed to do 500 scavanages in a weekend, probably 250?
    It would also help new players who are scavenging to leave in their camp, little extra incentive to scavenge.

    I'd like a nightmare scavenge mode adding, could be the same maps with a start level of +10, special walkers included and much better rewards.

    A scavenge mode for badge components, and another one for tokens, would also greatly enhance the appeal of scavenging. The drop rates don't have to be game-breakingly high, just give players a chance to scavenge for other things we want once beyond scavenging for tomatoes / xp / equipment.

    A gas booster costing a reasonable amount of gold, lasting somewhere between 2 to 4 hours, would be extremely popular too.

    Also I think scavenge % should be a tick higher for things like radios, gold, etc

    Make Scavenge missions more attractive for, you know... Scavenging?

    I like the idea of an extreme difficulty.

    I also think there should be an "easy" difficulty. Especially for gear.

    Young players don't normal scavenge find only gear way to high for their level.

    Easy mode you might find lower level gear you can actually use.

    Most of us endgame folk forget about this or don't know. It's a problem though.
