Wife starts complaining, so its going to be her or the game soon (still in doubt)
No serious, i know you don't have to compete, but not doing so is letting the guild down.
We had 3 people quitting guild to not let us down, but finding new people is hard, also when i go on weekend, i miss an entire challenge.

I prefer one challenge. Monday to Friday
5 days. Rest 2 days on chill out. No need to rush. And make 7 maps instead of 6.

I like 2 challenges, i don't like no break... suggestions have been made over and over and over again.... we'll have to wait and see if NG listens to the forums.

I am really disappointed with the new change of two challenges per week and also not much time off between each.
One of my best friends on here called it quits today and said farewell as he can't keep up with the way the challenges are at the moment.
Also I need time for my real life.
Cooking/Making my dinner and my pets lol yes I cook :P , working at my job, going to the cinemas with my friends and family, going to the beach etc.
With this two challenges per week and o break in between, it's just too much to deal with.
I love this game, and love playing it, so please don't get me wrong. It's my favourite iOS game easily.
I love guild challenges and with saying that,
I'd prefer the one challenge a week as well. Personally, That was more fitting to my schedule individually

No, not a fan. Spend too much time getting past the low level stuff. By time I get to the good stuff (200+stars) the challenge is almost over.

Like the reduced gas side . Perhaps the scaling with zombies is a bit extreme at the business end. But that a different topic.

2 challenge is just excessive. Especially with outposts and all that will bring. It is just overkill.

Add to that the cost of upgrading to level 18 need a bit more farming time as xp from challenge is a little low .

I'm away this weekend, as are a lot of people at weekends, and always get 180*s. The other 3 members of my guild are much less experienced and get around 150*s between them, so my being away will seriously cripple their guild rewards.
So let's have guild challenges Mon-Fri and have weekends off.

NO. I do not like the 2 challenges a week for several reasons.
    1) Having 6 days to complete the challenge allowed me to split my time between story and challenges. By doing this, I usually capped my stars on Friday evening.
    2) The day off allowed me time to concentrate on the weekend event.
    3) Before the split challenges, my guild had 20 active members. Since the update, two people quit completely. Three others get stars on the the weekend Th-Mo challenge but none during the week. The remaining guild members are all complaining about only having time to grind challenges. Several have suggested they will QUIT THE GAME ENTIRELY within a month if the split schedule persists. Players leaving the game = fewer purchases to support the game and YOUR paychecks.
    4) With one challenge a week, the same maps were getting tedious. The introduction of new maps and enemies was a plus, but with seeing them every weekend, we will burn out on them just as quickly as the old maps. It would have been better to introduce new maps into the existing rotation.

I have written several posts in several different threads begging for NG to change back to one challenge per week as me and most of my guild Do Not buy gas with gold for challenges and this is burning most of us out.

As a follow up from my last message, two members have left my guild since then and half of my guild, including myself are at 0 on the current challenge. We used to get consistently 1920 on the challenges and at one point were in the top 50 on the US board, and I was usually doing 200+. Now the guild doesn't even hit the 1500 reward, and I can only hit 140 on a consistent basis (but doubt that I will do so on the current town challenge). My guild will crash and burn if this doesn't change (and we are mostly talking of level 30 to 40 players-so people who play a lot and like the game).

Aww thanks! I love it when they sneak in the funny moments to break up the drama on the show :)
  • Yes, guild challenges is all I play
I'm not a fan of farming and I'm not strong enough to beat lvl 12, so the extra challenges gives me a way to play and get stronger

I like the fights against humans. But two challenges are too much, in our two strong guilds almost everybody is not happy and a few people consider to quit playing.

I am also betatesting the outposts - it is really a great idea and much fun to play - but also takes time. So I hope with the release of the outposts there will be one guild challenge a week again.

    Hi @Poppy .... I hope you are having a good day! o:)

For me, two challenges in one week is too much... it is more like a burden than leisure play with two challenges.

If NG decides to keep two challenges in one week, we need more time in between challenges to coordinate our guilds and to farm XP and deadly missions for equipment/armour.

If they decide to keep two challenges/week, perhaps they could consider implementing the following:

    a) two challenges per week of 2 1/2 days (60hrs) with a 48hr break in between
    b) two challenges per week of 3 days (72hrs) with a 24hr break in between

I sincerely hope they make some adjustments.

Very good poll @Poppy and discussion. :)

I'm against the two challenges a week. I voiced my opinions on this when they first started. It's too much, especially for people who take the game very seriously and want to have time to upgrade their stuff ...or maybe half a day off and still stay among the best guilds. It's also difficult for people who have jobs.

I'm happy to see some of the players from the top guilds share this opinion too.

If it has to stay then please give us a little bit more time than 1 hour between challenges. Just, time to breathe :)

I liked 1 challenge/week better... but if I was in a better guild with less slackers reaping rewards without participating I might like 2 challenges/week better...

With 2/week, too much guild emphasis on challenges (which is a joke as the rewards are crap) it only serves to hold back personal advancement progression.

Frankly earning stars is a thing that grew out of favor for myself by age 7.. It's utterly meaningless.

I'm also not a fan of two weekly challenges a week. I'm afraid this will cause me to grow tired of the game's repetitive maps since we are forced to compete 2x a week now.

This new format is chasing a lot of players away. Absolutely horrible. Throw in the ridiculously high XP needed to upgrade a higher level survivor or weapon and it is easy to look for a new game. Grinding all week just to be able to upgrade once sucks walker ass.

No i really dont think it is working. Numbers in our guild are low and a few including myself considering quitting. As others have said previously if feels more like a chore than fun and to be honest i have enough work to do in real life! So please consider changing it back to 1 challenge a week!!

Haven't heard anyone in our guild say they like the new format. But I have heard the complaints. The previous 6 day challenge was fine, but personally would vote for 5 day challenge. I don't even care which 5 consecutive days.

If I have the time, in the early stages of challenge, when the gas is low, the missions easy and the post mission chests give out accordingly low rewards, I now prefer to go XP farming for the first 4 missions of my gaming session to take advantage of the bonus 3 watch-a-video chests. I'm doing ep12 side missions, so those extra chests are much better than the low level challenge chests. After I use up my 4 videos, then I'll do the quick & easy challenge missions. Once the challenge missions get closer to my level, I stop doing this and focus on challenge.

Sorry guild, still trying for 200+ stars, might not get there consistently now, hope you understand.
