Yes I've raided a few lower level players already and my video shows me rolling over low level defenders- hopefully matches will soon be more stabilized by influence and level of attackers/defenders.
and what was the effect on the lower level players?
I am a lower level player. I am currently upgrading to get my first level 11. My survivors are no match for the maxed out ones.
I've already had my players mauled by the raiders in the Challenge last week (week before?). Are these the same raiders? For us lower level players, is this just another exercise in being mauled?
NG why did you release a broken game? I'm not whining here just asking, why would you rush this important update and release this mess? There were many people on this forum voicing their concerns when you've announced the release and they were right.
Not sure yet how NG has set up matchmaking and the Devs haven't been forthcoming on how matches are decided. So short answer is YES, until "higher" level players are more stabilized with influence levels, lower level players are fodder for building influence and supply crates.
That's not even taking into consideration of zombie levels for paying players. Eventually players will have high level zombies patrolling first 2 parts of the map so lower level players need to take that into consideration.
In other words, unless you are a maxed out player, don't bother with outposts.
I understand that NG needs to have something to keep maxed out players engaged. But it sounds like the best course of action for lower level players might be to just leave the whole outpost thing alone.
Now you guys are making me feel guilty of raiding the lower level outposts. Its not my fault I'm an addict and have leveled up a lot of players. Hell, my wife is hating me because I spend 2+ hours a day playing the game. (Me thinks he doth protest too much).
It's NG's fault for the crappy matching. Really should have been done by player level attacking leveland then influence - Hell they have points assigned for attackers and defenders so what's the problem....?? Quite frankly there should be a few tiers and at least 3 subtiers for matchmaking....
Now you guys are making me feel guilty of raiding the lower level outposts.
My question is: what happens to the lower level outposts when you do that? If there is no effect, go for it. If you are decimating the lower level outpost, why should lower level players create one?
In other words, why should lower level players create an outpost that they have no hope of defending? It sounds like a way to waste resources with little chance of obtaining any benefit.

um, well, yeah it is. But that's an entirely different issue beyond the scope of this discussion.
Hello, my game says need to get updated, I click and takes me to uninstall or play then I click and back to beginning. How do I get the update, cannot get in the game at all now.
@Dale Haven't tried the outpost yet, but from everything I've read, it sounds like the most you can lose by being raided is 8500 trade goods. Your council 'protects' 1500 trade goods, so that amount can't be taken from you. And it doesn't sound like you lose anything else by being raided - other supplies, survivors, etc.
Then there's the influence thing, not up to speed on that

So the raiders raid the outpost but can't get to the camp?
The Outpost combat locks the defending player's save game when being attacked. To players this shows as a rarely seen "you're under attack" message, if you happen to be online at just the time the combat results are being recorded.
Well, that answers some of my questions. I'm a lower level player; my outpost would be easy pickings. I wouldn't blame people for raiding it frequently which means my playing time will get frozen a lot. Which happens anyway, due to the game crashing so often.
The only advantage I'm seeing to having an outpost is being able to build up Trade Goods, which will get stolen from me anyway. Best for me to save my building funds to max out the camp. Maybe then I could play on a level playing field.
@Heretic Have you tried getting your wife to play too? My husband waited anxiously for the Android version to come out. When it finally did, he played it every second he could. Then, he tried to download it to my device. Alas, my device is too old and won't support the game. So, he downloaded BlueStacks and set up an account for me. Now, we sit in the living room together, play, and discuss the game. It's sort of hard to gripe at your partner for spending too much time on a game when you are playing the game too.
Yeah, I was lucky and was able to complete 8 or so raids. I did get the inexplicable loss on one even though I still had time left and no injury. Sucked to lose 25 influence points for something that was a crash.
I've also experienced the same glitches everyone else has talked about. When you do the update tonight, it would be nice if you could find some way to reward the people who have unofficially helped you Beta today. Hell, given the disproportionate cost/benefit ratio for many of the things mentioned above, you might want to give a boost to everyone. I guarantee it would create more engagement.
Overall though, I am thrilled to have something to do besides xp farm. I really like the update and will be playing more.
This update is a total POS!!! I lost over 1000 trade goods for no reason, at least not a visible reason unless I got raided. It doesn't show anything in the battle log. Plus when I attempted to do a raid it came back with no results found and I lost 10 more resources!!! This is NOT fixed yet!! Shut it down and fix it right for you piss everybody off. PLEASE MAKE THINGS WORK BEFORE YOU RELEASE AN UPDATE!!!!!!!

I'm waiting until people here start complaining about how the update didn't fix the update. Then I'll know it's out of maintenance mode.
Ditto but x10.
I've started a thread on the subject.
