is shooter rick really worthless?

i read several times that shooters are lame and that shooter rick is not worth investing on him

but his trait seem quite good, as he improves total damage for every one

with hunting or winter bow, he seems to me quite valuable

is that only because i am at low level (toons between 16 & 19)?

He is the best Shooter in a game where Shooters are the single worst class (at the end game). For newer players, Shooters with bows are not that bad.

Agreed with the above, worthless for the moment but you see with the last few updates (piercing buff in particular) that they are attempting to address the imbalance between the classes so maybe shooters will catch up eventually. I wouldn't put them towards the top of the list to work on but not completely abandon them.

Most still use Maggie because most have 8-10* Maggie and Rick is only 6-8*

shooter should have a 50% chance to be silent (no walker threat) or could have the feature of chance of headshot (single shot kill walker, no matter of level of the walker )

Give Shooters a % chance to fire a second time with a non-Charged shot. A base of 30% with +5 per level (max of 80% with gear/survivor traits) might be a good start.
