@Alibaba I know you have a ton on your plate right now. I am pleased to report that the game ran smoother for me tonight than it has since before outposts were released. I think the devs are making progress. Please, tell them to get some sleep as a fatigued mind won't necessarily see the errors in the code. Also, tell them to check line 163. The problem is almost always on line 163. (That's actually a running joke with a friend of mine. He had a coding problem he had been staring at for hours. Not knowing a thing about that particular code, I glanced over his shoulder and told him the problem was on 163. I was just messing with him, but it turns out there WAS a problem on 163.)

Anyway, have you found out anything about the spoiler codes? Should I go back through the body of this thread and the Spoiler discussion to swap them back to the old until someone gets the time to check on it? It would be a pain, but if that's what it takes to keep the threads conforming to forum policies, I will be happy to do that. Just not right now. It's midnight and I am exhausted. Will do in the morning.

Just reposting what Wkipedia said. Some sources say it originated in Scotland. Others say Ireland.

I always thought was an Irish thing, and so was the programme Father Ted.

Word from the mods is that the new spoiler tag is not working. We need to go back to using the old one. The old one does not support multiple levels of spoilers. Please, edit your posts to reflect the working tag.

Using < > triangle tags instead of parentheses ( ):

    (div class="Spoiler")Edit your tags(/div)

Edit your tags, please and thanks

Somehow I thought that this was pertinent. Trending # 1 on reddit atm. Got some good laughs...

@Alibaba As my grandfather from Tipperary used to say, Irish Diplomacy is an artform. It is the ability to tell someone to go to hell so that one looks forward to the trip.

Yes, use nice words to express curse phrases. In addition to being acceptable, they can be real funny. And do not direct them at people.

For example: Having relations with a canine.

I can't get the tags to work, so cannot provide the translation.

Yes it is possible to write something extremely offensive without using a single "curse word" if you are so inclined.

I tried that @Lady_Killmonger ...I invited someone to take a seat on something and spin around...I got censored ....kind of pathetic really when you consider NG thought it appropriate to show the butt cracks of the fatties we slaughter ....if you have a game for adults the forum should be for adults too...so some kids wander in...they find porn sites too....you can't police the whole web nor should it be attempted....the censoring on this forum is getting so PC it's disturbing ....this is a game about killing and I can't curse?

@tammy It depends on what the item was you were suggesting they sit and spin on . Perhaps saying, "If you could extend your middle digit, place your posterior on it, and rotate rapidly, that would be great" would have been a more acceptable version. Then again, we are not permitted to make personal attacks. There is a difference between telling someone they are acting like a donkey's hindquarters and calling the person a donkey's hindquarters.

@thebluebox my suggestion was actually in response to a personal attack on me...they should have removed that post if they didn't expect me to react ...it was rude, bitchy and totally unwarranted so I invited said fool to satisfy themselves in ways other than to be nasty to people they don't know...I think I was pretty fair ;)

yeah, if they made it personal and you responded in kind, then both of you probably needed a talking to. It really is Mod discretion though.

As I mentioned on a different thread, I am a member of a message board for my football team, and the hard swear words are #ed out, so we tell people to go away with a designer label when needs must.
Or to put it another way, fcuk off. The way eyes scan words, initially most people miss the change of the middle letter order so it expresses exactly what it's contextual use is.
It's not done frequently, but is effective and efficient when necessary.
