It's funny you wrote silence must be heard. One should point out that your at the end of the game life cycle so things taking a long time kind of makes sense.
Yes it's a pain but your lev 17 do twice the damage of my 14 and thus get more rewards in events and such.
@Amiga It's insane, but there are people who spend the money. I used to play Game of War. I quit cold turkey after spending $700 and still not being very competitive. I learned the top players all had spent more than $10,000 to rule the game; that was the day I quit.
I haven't spent any money on this game due to unemployment; and I'm not opposed to the developers making money (and me spending money). I am opposed to the "pay to win" concept.
It's all been said, and I agree 100%. Make it right already, how hard can it be? I'm sure it is much easier than ignoring so many of your loyal players.
There is already gas factor, healing time, bundles for $$. Why to mess up also with XP balance?? I don't get it really. People responsible for it aren't serious...
We have been told that they are working on the XP balance and how to properly scale the game economy. Like others here, I am disappointed that they are offering a level up before fixing that.
@LadyAquila Exactly. It's fun to grind better gear and upgrade it but it's not fun to have a problem with upgrade because of lack of xp. I have ton of not upgraded useless gear... Shouldn't be like that!
Please balance your game before doing any council upgrades. 1. Fix the survivors gap in radio tent. "Max initial survivor level 16" means any legendary survivors you pull from radio tent could get a max initial survivor of level 16, not always level 7 or level 8!! 2. Fix the xp balance. Or give us back all the xp we wasted on level 17 gears since xp is such a serious problem and feel so cheated with this new level 17 council upgrade.
I like the idea of having additional levels. I'm not maxed out so having more to do is good.
But what is the point if you can't get there without spending either lots of money or lots of time doing boring grinding? We call it grinding for a reason.
As for myself, I will get there when I get there, if I get there. If my progress doesn't make my guild happy, I'll just find another guild.
I do admit that I don't see the need to "catch up" or to "rule the game". Catch up to what? The world doesn't care who rules the game.

Who is it that thinks the economy makes sense? None of us but there has to be someone somewhere who likes it or it would have been changed by now. I'm not sure what they are trying to accomplish. This can't be the best way to maximize profits. Usually, a lot of people spending a little money turns out to be a greater amount than few people spending a lot.
@Teeceezy We are glad that you pop in but this isn't new balance issue. It's known problem from weeks. Give us temporary solution until you bring promised changes in XP balance. For players below lvl 40 game is still fair but for those who want jump to council lvl 17 is a pine in the ass
I'm a very active player and I barely got time to catch up with the last concil upgrade... The prices should be lowered or it should be easier to get xp... Or do 1 challenge/week instead of 2...
I haven't been playing quite as long as a lot of players, but I do agree the XP economy could use some adjusting. I don't mind earning what I want or need but the returns are so minimal compared to the time and effort one needs to invest.

Well game after lvl17 survivor will really mean end (of) game for lot of us. 1. Terrible boring grinding system 2. XP from zombies are ok until lvl10, above that you get not-worth-to-mention amount of XP from killing. 3. XP need of item upgrades goues insane lvl17+ upgrades.
@Amiga What I really dont get is: XP for zombie killing: (Zombie LVL*10) --> linear XP need for weapon upgrades (green): Lvl15: 180k; Lvl16: 276k; Lvl17: 450k; Lvl18: ~650k --> looks exponential for me That is indeed a huge balance issue for the endgame...
Have a better example with golden items (item lvls are where you upgrade from), starting from Lvl13: 103.6k; 140k; 210k; 322k; 525k; 700k Differences: +36.4k; +70k; +112k; +203k; +175k Well, not exponential, but kind of highly increasing until lvl18. It is easy to see the lack of balance concept....

Like you said game till council lvl 15 was good balanced. Now we all know how bad it is...
