Then, what is perfect temperature for you to go there to sit and take some... umm.... Löyly?(in the lack of better translation: steam of sauna stove or heat of the sauna)

For me personally it has to be at least 80°C to be warm enough.

I assume this question is primarily for Euros since Americans in general don't have saunas (except for a few months in the summer when it feels like a sauna). I don't have a sauna, but I do have a steam shower.

@masmith93 Well, I guess. I wasn't really sure if Americans have sauna or not
Steam showers are also pretty cool

Any guess who might " now " be on my list, ( in 2017 )

I don't have a sauna but a friend of mine has build one in his cabin in Sweden. We go there a whole group once a year during winter for three days of sauna, snow, cocking and drinking. Glorious.

I try hard not to be the knapsut but I'm one of the first to give up when the temperature gets close to 90 C.
    I'm lost.

Check out the DMZ guild. We're recruiting. Here.

@mongo911 Hot tubs are so nice, but damn expensive. I Havn't been on a Spa at least on 15 years. It's funny since there is one pretty close to were I live. Almost forgotten how nice a Spa really is :|

    @MrSorrow... Yup...

    I had " splurged " and got a used " SwimSpa " tub... ( 16 ' long )

Fun for soaking... fun for swimming in a current... A joy for drinking...

( ya just don't pass-out, from the wonderful liquid, unless ya have a " Coast Guard " approved flotation device, then " no worries " )

I actually know a handful of people that have saunas here in the US......... I myself don't have one lol so I'm not much help in the sauna department however a hot tub is perfect especially in the winter @mongo911

    Almost fainted in the sauna!!!
Maybe it was the heat or maybe (more reasonable) a not very low amount of alcohol in my blood. Most reasonable the combination of it!

I am a "Frostköttel" (people who think that cold is an asshole) but Sauna is not for me!

There is a sauna in the gym I go to. I don't use it. Last week the temperature outside was in the low 90s F (mid 30s C) with high humidity. I'm trying to avoid heat and humidity, not seek it out deliberately.

@dale yes but if it was always cold where you lived, even if it was warm out, you'd probably seek heat anywhere you could get it.

Is there a difference between a steam shower and turning the water to (really) hot in a shower?
