Update on Post Purchase Pistol Nerfing (PPPN) - Official Response from NG - Refund Or XP Available

I was able to have my $14.99 pistol bundle and another bundle refunded based on the fact that NG nerfed the silencer 50% (60% to 30%) post purchase with no explanation or forewarning. I would strongly recommend that ANYONE that has purchased the pistol bundle with the 60% silencer to process a refund directly through Google (or IOS).
Additionally, Google recommended that I no longer purchase any thing from NG going forward, and will be sending me a link so that I can make a formal complaint regarding the unethical behavior of NG.
They were not amused at the nerfing of equipment post purchase.
Just thought you all might want to consider a refund.

They can't do that to paying customers.... heck it's wrong for the freebies like me to get slapped around but to take someone's money and do what they did.. just wrong
Any guess who might " now " be on my list, ( in 2017 )
Folks please start a trouble ticket directly with Google if your pistol bundle got nerfed. They are interested to learn more of this unethical behavior by NG.
If requesting refund for Rick's Silenced Pistol, be sure to mention the virtual equipment advertised is not a consumable, had a key attribute that was reduced by 50% with release of update 2.0 and was purchased as a special limited time offer package made available less than one month prior to game update.
I should of seen the writing on the walls long ago based on past updates but I learned my lesson and will not purchase or continue to support app developer Next Games for their sleazy bait and switch tactics.

I did think it was interesting that they specifically recommended no longer purchasing from NG 'until they can resolve the issue'. Based on some statements from the MODS in other threads....that isn't likely so I'll just not make any further purchases.

edit: After some googling, seems like it's the good old "it depends". Either the merchant or the bank, or ultimately an insurance company.
Also, if a vendor has too many charge-backs in too short of a time period that can put their ability to accept certain CC payments in jeopardy. I'm speaking strictly for US law and regulations, I have no idea in other areas of the world, but would suspect it's similar.
Also, it's important to note that this particular charge-back is bordering on fraud. One item was advertised, then a lesser product was provided through a secret decision not communicated to the consumer. It's one thing to 'balance' an item that is free to customers. It's completely another to sell one product then artificially cripple it w/out offering the consumer a way to return or refuse the change.
Yep. I will not be buying anything like tokens or equipment unless I know I will be compensated in some way if they later decide to change the merchandise I purchased for the worse. If they want to add to them and make them better then that's fine of course.
Most players who have made purchases are affected to a lesser degree than those who suffered a 50% reduction in a trait stat, but it is still unethical.

In short NG has realized that players are not happy with the post purchase pistol nerfing and are going to make some sort of restitution to players. I feel that this announcement SHOULD NOT be buried in some obscure threads in the forum and absolutely should be a sticky in announcements.
Otherwise it feels like the are 'really sorry' that a few players figured it out, rather than coming out and saying they screwed up and want to be transparent about it. But whatever, please ask for restitution if you've been burned by the post purchase pistol nerf (PPPN).
It absolutely infuriates me that WE have to be the ones to point out that things are wrong. WE are the ones who have to point out the trait was lowered by 50%.
I've never in all my life seen anything this bad. I can't even say the words "give" because nothing's free with this game, but you'll be given one thing which turns out to be something completely different.
Hell even these celebrity profiles making videos don't have the accurate information regarding upgrades. Abraham listed as needing 16 tokens in a video on facebook when it's 120 needed in game. I'm so glad some sponsored celebrity who won't ever play this game beyond the day he mad that video got to experience something I haven't and probably won't anytime soon.
I haven't bought gas as I'm on a spending strike so I'm replaying the same missions over and over again for crap TG rewards or play exploration and farm XP to use on weapons that'll be nerfed next update. Great set of choices I have here lol.
Go to a garage sale and buy a coffee pot and they put a plastic bow in its place. Go back to complain about it and get your money back and get offereed a rock as compensation.

And I totally agree. The 'settlement' that NG is offering is ONLY to people that have:
1. Noticed the 'silence' on their purchased gun seems to be working less often.
2. Come to the forums to figure out what happened.
3. File an official demand notice with either NG, Google, or Apple for a 'refund'.
NG gets enough cash from every player, they know EXACTLY who bought what/when. They should just go in, find who bought the bundle and do an auto XP bump, or refund.
No making players hunt out the problem, then have to fix it individually. To me, the apology rings hollow at that point.
"We're really really sorry (that you found out we hosed you) and are doing everything (possible to hose you again, but next time we'll be sneakier so you can't find out) to avoid the error in the future (unless our fancy new marketing analyst can pinpoint exactly how to get more money from your wallet). " - Is pretty much how I read the reaction (non-reaction).
