@jester ,I have worked in Government where progress is measured in taking "years" so I'm not too concerned about a few days/weeks. Plus, it's like I got a pay raise!
As players we are often get selfish and we will have to be careful of that. NG is a developer and they develop game to give us entertainment. That is something we look for after a hard day of work. Something that we can get away for our life. Their employees have to make money for living and give countless hours of developing, testing, and supporting the game. We respect them. We created the council with high technical players, players that spent a lot, and players don't spend much at all. We attempt to represent the masses or at least a big sample size of them. I, myself, even reach out to Facebook communities to ask what would be best for them.
Now like I mention above, we have to keep in mind our weakness. That is our selfishness. We come up with ideas that will benefit us and oftenly, we forgot to think of the health of the game in the future. I certainly does not want to have anyone to run around with 10 stars survivors next week. That would just create an un-balance environment in the game and sortly kill the game. The council is our best effort to gather a very big sample size of players like I mentioned above. For what, we want to hear their opinions. So that we can come up with a best solution that fit. A solution that can benefit both of players and NG as a whole. At the end of the day, we would like to keep our friends. We have no intention whatsoever to destroy NG and to alienate anyone.
I can assure you one thing. That is our list proposal of improvement. The council argue and debate but we are very civilize. We forgo our egos to come up with a list and demand. These list of demand are aiming at benefiting players, communities and NG. We are attempt to do it in the most subtle way as possible. We do want to keep the forum as positive as possible. We don't run around and post the list of demands everywhere. Please do realize, if there is no NG, no Walking Dead no man's land for us all.
Everyone has their own opinions. Every communities has its goal. We attempt to reach a common goal that can be a ground to build on going forward. Obviously, we won't be able to settle into a list of demand if we don't agree on a reasonable goal. Everyone works very hard within the council. Some even stay up late to draft the list ( @jester) especially. I was amazed on how communities can reach into a decision in harmony.
We have no issue with listening to you. In fact, your list is actually aligned with some of ours. We will do our best to make every guild happy. We even attempt to bring you on. However, it is just something the way to ask. There are many ways to ask for contribute. There are many ways to assist. We work very hard to gather the council. Meanwhile, you are questioning our method and validity. We feel that our work is undermined. We love to bring you on but then again, you are judging us. You have the impression that we are keeping the secret like NG does. You fail to see the reason why we are working hard to protect both players and NG as a whole. You are too selfish. You only think why we don't listen to you.
For that reason, we are not going to allow you to hurt both player communities as well as NG. We aim to make this game and its communities to be best in the gaming world. Now don't get me wrong, you can always pm me for any questions and/or suggestion, I will promise you to do my best to make it heard. Unity is the only way to go.
The EH family- where we have competition, fun and friendship. How to apply? Click here OR Email: [email protected]
@SlickRick You are one of the most valuable players for NG. They should really respect what are you doing. I can't wait the results of this balancing proposal. It's really huge thing!
Thank you!! And I'm sorry to hear about you losing members...similar situations are what spurred most of us into action...hopefully we can stem that flow!!
Just so everyone knows the original idea for this came from @jester so he is owed a huge amount of thanks!! He just brought me in to be his good-looking secretary...sadly he forgot I'm a guy
I truly appreciate this collaborative effort to work with NG to bring about positive changes and make this game fun again. I'm proud to be a member of a participating guild.
However, I would be remiss not to mention that a similar effort by Vault112 a couple months back was neither applauded nor joined. Rather, it was shot down from all directions. But their fall from the top 3 demonstrates that they were serious about attempting to effect change. Let's hope the rest of us share that same fortitude.
@Neil_J xp tents they will most likely adjust at some point anyways and we will be able to discuss smaller issues moving forward , the big ones are the ones that will stop more of our friends from quitting.. we had each guild prioritize their top 3 issues they wanted addressed and went with the majority
Fair enough - point taken.
The fact that you council members are spending your own time in doing this is to be appreciated and applauded. Keep up the good work
“You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only option.” (Bob Marley)
The NML Guild Council has received some very positive communications with NG developers and are starting to feel optimistic about this game once again.
We've been asked not to discuss the specifics with the forum at this time, but we foresee some positive changes in the coming days and weeks.
As such, we have voted to recommend to our guilds a temporary lifting of the spending freeze on boosters and ad viewing. If the communication takes a different turn, we may revisit the spending freeze again in the future. We still recommend to our represented guilds that they limit other in app purchases for now.
Individuals and guilds are free to follow this recommendation or to continue their spending freeze as they feel fit.
The future looks a bit brighter and it has been productive and positive discussions to this point. We hope it continues in this manner.
Thank you to the guilds and players represented by the council and those who have supported us thus far. We're trying to make the game better for all of us.
@Rorshack@jester Wouldn't the quickest and easiest thing to say "I asked what guild you are in to see if you have a member in the council" There seems to be a lot of shit said that didn't need to be.
(But maybe I missed something. I am tired at the moment and some of those posts were a bit too long to read.)
@jester thanks for the update on the progress and current recommendations of the council! Our guild is happy to watch videos again. Looking forward to seeing positive changes coming.
@Rorshack Re. your #9 on the 11 point list... Many months ago we used to get gas all over the place at the wall. Just another item that have trimmed back. Agree with your entire list.
@GuildCouncil thank you all for your efforts to bridge the gap between post apocalyptic melt down and reasonable, rational business dealings for the betterment of the game. I'm appreciative of your maturity Thank you for organizing this boycott & giving us a better way to cut thru the vitriol & get results.
@Teeceezy@Shadowkeeper Yabba dabba doo! LabRat9065413 is looking forward to changing her profile pic to something with a less abrasive tongue. A pistop packing kitten perhaps?
What I would love to see (and it falls under the communication) is maybe a sticky note of current bugs/issues, and to flag if they are being worked on or completed (or even a ETA like "in update 2.1 etc)
And also maybe some high level enhancements. I wouldn't expect to have indepth details about this but based on the last couple of updates it could be Introducing New Traits Introducing New Heros Changing the survivor progression etc
The SistersOfDaryl and all the other Sisters see this as a first step in the right direction. It's maybe just a small step, but we expect more to come. We should stay positve and hope for fast solutions to the main issues.
Thanks for all your effords and for this update @jester and to the NML Guild Council.
BOOO Bad form. Freeze should not have been lifted util action and not words were taken. It is ya'ls money and have fun, but I am disappointed. It was fun being part of a "cause" but nothing changed except words. This seems like a very short sighted decision based on individual ego.
I'm glad for the council, and the positive affects it will bring to the game and the community and the future of it. You are all not paid to do so, you do it for the love of the game, and 100% thanks and gratitude, but I think you all made the wrong decision, and that decision in a vacuum I could say.
You had their attention, you had players in a Trump (or Bernie) like fury of support, and now that is gone and can never be recaptured in the same manner All based on words and not actions.
If workers go on strike for unfair wages and crap working conditions, and they have support and momentum, and the CEO drafts a statement saying they are considering a pay increase and better work conditions, and then the strike is lifted after this memo, where is the logic in that.
Also given the fact in the past the CEO made similar statement but never delivered.
As my father would say, I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.
But keep fighting the good fight, at least from all of this we might have some kind of seat at the table, even if it is the tiny table they bring out during holidays.
I understand if you feel a little let down @DangerB, but I think there are a lot of players that are still not spending. Personally, I won't be buying bundles or boosters right now, as I want to see more results first.
But I appreciate what the Guild Council is doing, and trust that they are making progress. If loosening up a little and letting us all watch videos again will keep us strong together, I think that's a good thing.
In my opinion, which is solely mine, I appreciate the efforts that the council is doing. I play the game because I enjoy it and will continue to play it the way I enjoy it.
If people are on board to not spend power to them. The council is suggesting if people want to buy gas they can. Regardless if people chose to join the boycott or not nobody should be shamed for spending (nobody is I shamed I feel) and as much as I'd like to be in the know about what the talks are that are going on between the council and NG I have better things to do with my time (like finish packing for my move on Sunday)
So I applaud the efforts the council is doing. Rome wasn't built in a day and although agreements take time to put in place, I believe NG is making steps in the right direction.
Last week was the 5 second upgrade event. In my opinion it's the least of all events that NG makes money on. Upgrading a weapon that takes a day rushed is like 100 gold if not more. If everyone upgraded one piece of usable equipment they lost $1 approx for every player because it was usable right away.
Now is the herd. Another favorite of players. I wouldn't be surprised if next week was the legendary survivor event. NG I feel is listening.
We are all players. Our leaders assist us along the way. So thank you to those taking times out of their day to try and repair the gap between NG and us. The spend suggestion is just that. A suggestion.
At the end of the day I don't think someone who chooses not to spend in a guild would be kicked and someone who chooses to spend in a guild who still vows to not spend would be kicked.
Players support each others decisions on how they want to play this game so I support the councils decision

Out of respect for the " Guild Council " I will watch Videos at this time ( till a further recommendation from the " Guild Council " )
I respect the effort of NextGames, to discuss with the " Guild Council " improvements to this Game... Out of that advice from the " Guild Council " I made a single purchase of " NextGames Vaporware "
The Morgan's Staff package...
I previously purchased that " Staff " that was at a level 18, now my Bruser is at a level 19...
Normally, I would not buy this package for just " one level of power "or the few phones, or the "small amount of Gold " ...
I chose to TRUST the " Guild Council "...
In " their talks " with NextGames, they also would need to demonstrate, that the Game Players, are able to reverse their statements...
" I WILL NEVER OPEN MY WALLET AND GIVE NEXTGAMES MONEY "
Thus, I made one purchase, to support the Guild Council and their efforts...
I see no need to make any further purchases, at this time...
When the final talks are over, and the recomadations of the " Guild Council " are made,
I will then decide, if I wish to continue to support NextGames, or not...
I, Have been a paying customer in the past, because of the love of this game...
The future is not yet written...
But the " Guild Council " is helping... The only stumbling block to my playing this game, is " NextGames, and their problems "
I am easily confused by other people's, laziness and sloppiness and greed...
Any guess who might " now " be on my list, ( in 2017 )
I understand if you feel a little let down @DangerB, but I think there are a lot of players that are still not spending. Personally, I won't be buying bundles or boosters right now, as I want to see more results first.
Even if I wanted to buy a booster (which I don´t do...) I would not be able to do so, since NG decided to remove the in app buy option from Bluestacks player...I´m safe from any offer
@Dlich, totally agree with everything that you stated. I applaud the efforts of the Guild Council in negotiating on our behalf on their own dime. Yes, on the surface it looks like NG is listening.
But fool me once shame on you; fool me twice shame on me. I'm still on the fence until they rectify some of the major issues or at least one of them. Tokens or the weapon nerfs.
Good luck on your move! Packing and unpacking is such a pain!
With all respect, you've had a chat you but you can't say anything, i accept that BUT they (ng) can and all they've said is walker week, here's what you did last week and in order to to help you get there you can buy something. All this shows me is that they're getting desperate for money. I won't be changing my current boycott on spending and watching ads because one of my main gripes is related to communication and this hasn't changed as far as i can see. Plus why would i start spending to earn broken tokens? 120 bruiser, 120 hunter, 120 shooter tokens plus 5000 tg's is the top reward. If you truly think thats a prize worth chasing then good luck to you, imo the only one winning here is next games as you all spend on gas to get there. So from my position nothings changed after two weeks except that they appear to be getting desperate but they still won't communicate with us the community. When they have an announcement I'll reconsider my position. I wish the council goodluck in the future talks but be careful to make them give an official response to us as anything you guys extend to us doesnt bind them until they say it officially.
Edit: didn't we have an optional update yesterday but no update notes? Nothing has changed.
