Ironically I have no problem with the auto center. As soon as mission starts I hit fast forward. I've become more strategic in my positioning so I give it a few seconds to look over the playing field. Like a game of chess you have to look at all moves before deciding on one.
Maybe that's why I never notice it (if it's still happening)
At lower RSL I coukd care less if I get hit. At higher RSL I'm constantly looking at positioning.
