Thanks for reaching out to us!
After starting the new Challenge we experienced some server problems that caused issues with accessing the challenge map and guild information. These troubles affected challenge stars as well and you might have noticed some of your earned stars not being recorded to your guild.
Due to technical restrictions we’re unfortunately not able to add the missing stars to your guild at this time.
We are investigating the cause of the issue and are working to prevent this from happening with future challenges.
Hopefully everything’s otherwise well in your camp.

To make sure that your stars count for your guild, is (imo) to open the challenge only from the button in the guild menu. So you can be sure that you are connected to your guild before entering a challenge mission. Don't open the challenge from the the new mission hub. If the guild menu can't be opened, do not start a challenge mission.
@docfinzenburg -- while it was thought to be the solution at one point, this (and last) week had players miss stars even going through the guild/chat screen
Most of our guild has lost stars, even those who waited to play. Half were already logged in to start while the other half came on line throughout the day and still lost stars. I'm about tapped out on this game. Don't know how many more weeks of frustrations are really worth it anymore. NG help just said my stars are gone this week and hopefully we can fix it going forward. The update rollout has been a disaster to most players. So sad.
We have the data we need and the server team is working on the situation. Support can't actually add stars to your account, but we're grateful to those that have sent in tickets that allow us to learn what we needed to about the cause of the problem. So for now, please accept my apology, and we'll continue working on this for as long as it takes to prevent it from happening again.

Most of us have our stars our if whack and stats are all over the place. What gives?
When will a fix be issued? Some of our guild members also see missing stars cause the app doesn't recognize them to be in any guild at the start of the game.
The issue is that the servers are overloading when the challenge starts. We bought extra bandwidth this last week and it still wasn't enough. We have client and server changes coming that should help alleviate the problem in the next update, but for now, the solution is to buy a fatter and fatter pipe every week until the issue is minimized.

That's Exactly why I said it was a total waste of time & resources.
I have received the exact same arbitrary response 3 weeks in a row.
