Good Herd or Bad?

So only a day away from the weekend event starting and i only have one concern. Which Herd event will we be getting? Will we get the one similar to the Birthday Bash which was an utter waste of time due to the phone drop % almost disappearing. Or will we be getting the Herd event from before the Birthday Bash where the drop rate for phones was kept the same as the drop rate for normal wall walkers? Only time will tell, but i will say i would rather them not give us Herd event if they are altering the drop rates of phones.

    I dont think random is correct. Every drop is at a % haha its not random

    @chronicman I think that's just bad luck buddy. Sorry to hear it. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary during that event.

    I am cautiously optimistic for a 'normal' phone drop rate and not the 'phones replaced with gas' drop rate that we had during the birthday event. My guess is that hey nerfed the phone drop rate during that event because they knew we would want phones for the discounted gold calls day that was coming up shortly afterward.

    @JayZ That maybe, but i remember seeing alot of people saying the same thing. Not to mention daily I get 1-5 phones from the wall so its hard to say with 10× the walkers at my wall i only managed to grab 3?? I'll take logic over speculation good sir.

    @chronicman I'm not disagreeing with you that only getting 3 phones during the herd is excessively low. I'm just saying that I personally got 1-2 phones each time I cleared the herd (so probably 10-15 over the course of the day) during the birthday event, so my experience was not the same as yours. I hope for both of our sakes that we get a ton of phones this weekend.

    I'll probably end up buying a gas boost both days and farming anyways. So with it not giving gas while on a boost it will be interesting what drops.

    I'd be intreasted at seeing your results for this too,. My phone drop rate on herds as been similar to yours,. The lady gas boost i brought still had gas drops for me on the herd

    Edit one thing I have noticed (maybe just me) but the phones in the tg shop have vanished,. I'm hoping this is a sign that phones will drop in the event,. But if it does it goes to show that NG want you to only have a set amount of phones before having to purchase them

    Seriously 4 phones on my first clear and 2 on my alt without a gas boost. I'll check back later...

    @08Gerrard_Fan08 I'm interested if you'll be returning or if it's forever. Takes some skill to get banned a day after joining. :) Not hating on you just curious if you'll be back because you may not be able to answer!

    Autocorrect wrote "the lady gas boost" which I'm assuming was supposed to be last. The last time we've had the herd was before update 2.2 during birthday week. Now I'm trying to remember how the game did handle gas from wall walkers while in the gas boost and I thought they changed it so we had the extra gas built up so you could use it after the boost.

    after 2hrs (aprox.200 walker):

    1st account: 8gas/2phone
    2nd account: 12gas/1phone

    @Shteevie I'm on free gas and have had no gas from walkers, has this been fixed since last time? If so could you check to see if they have inadvertently removed the phones too, as I have not had any since the event started. (Cleared 5 waves now)

    So far I have zero phones, but it's RNG and I know that when the weekend is over, I will have received my share.

    After 4hrs (appox 400 walker):
    1st account: 15gas/3phones
    2nd account: 19gas/1phone

    Anyone with better rate?
