Does it make sense?
I don't see it, but maybe I'm missing something...

|edit| There is swift strike on this weapon. Bruiser don't have swift strike usually.

    Swift strike is on the weapon. That is a scout only trait right?

    It's looking like they are switching it up for all the Classes.. Just like Interrupt was never a Hunters Weapon Trait & it is now.. I sure do welcome some of these additions!!! :blush:
    Theyre probably hoping people will stop playing with only certain Classes?

    Is swift strike on any bruiser weapons that don't require money?

    I didn't think they'd make a second "special" bruiser weapon before making one for a warrior since Kingdom spear for scouts and Morgan's staff for bruisers have already been created. Bruisers must be weak if they require 2 special paying weapons with "special" traits that non paying players can't attain.

    If this weapon came free and upgraded, would you start using bruisers more often?
    If this weapon was for free, would you change your current bruiser weapon for this one?

    I'm having a hard time imagining either of the answers to be yes.
    When I do use bruisers, I usually use them to stun walkers and not to finish them of. (So no benefit from swift strike there)
    Area Stun (morgan's staff) and prolonged stun status (concussion trait) make sense.

    Swift strike will proc in such exotic occasions, that I just don't see the benefit of trading concussion for swift strike.
    If both concussion and swift strike where on the weapon. And the weapon was for free, then I guess I would give it a go.

    @JayZ I think some of the special weapons @DLich is talkng about that you may have forgotten are the Ezekiel spear, Morgan staff, Rick's rifle with more damage less area, the wide area wide margin bruiser epic weapon that was a story reward, and the katanas you mentioned. Maybe you were just talking about one class or something but I think those are all the weapons that have a characteristic no other weapon in that class has.

    There was a time when interrupt wasn't a hunter rifle trait? Really I don't remember that but there was a time when all weapons interrupted in overwatch.

    @Shut_Up The last part of your statement was correct: I was explicitly answering @DLich's question about whether the Warrior was the only melee class that did not have a special weapon.

    Heh Charge woulda been sweet on this as well, much better than the Tara bundle. Bruiser have been needing some help, at least there's no wasted Concussion on it.

    Only wasted traits on this one. All traits for killing, bruiser is not for killing. Am I wrong?

    Will give you 2 chances to stun if Swift Strike pops off, or 2 targets- if it acts like a normal bruiser weapon in that regard

    If memory serves, Swift Strike will only activate if you kill the first target. No? But it does give you an additional move, which I think could be useful.

    It would be fun if the bruiser charge attack could give you multiple action points.

    But, only 1 swift-strike per survivor per turn.

    Yeah since swift strike only activates in a kill this will hurt its usefulness because bruiser cause the lowest damage and it often takes 2 hits on the same target that takes other classes 1 hit to kill.

    I could see the usefulness of charging a bruiser with a kill that activates SS and then using the additional move to stun multiple targets. But with only a 40% chance, Luck is almost a necessity.

    Lol 2 hits if your lucky, totally forgot about that since Scouts do so much damage and generally kill in 1 hit (when I use them for attacking). Yeah pretty much a useless trait except for lower level walkers or on clean up duty

    I picture using bruiser with luck and using as a second attack to stun or kill and charge with swift strike. Then use second strike to do an area stun on second attack and finish with shooter or warrior charge or attack to pick off the rest.

    Unless swift strike is different from power strike according to the notes -

    "Power Strike: This trait now works as follows: “Attacks made on your turn deal more damage and have a better critical chance if you have not moved.”

    Lucky bruiser with michonne in the party would be the only way to make this super awesome. If the weapon had gold luck too, then we'd have a game changer.

    At least it's interesting and weird. I might get one just for that reason alone.

    @Leon_UK Morgan's staff is really the only complaint I have in that regard. The other paid items are cool curiosities but that item is a big boost, especially when you face multiples in outposts.
