Help me choose a hunter

So, I got this new lvl8 hunter yesterday and now I don't know who to invest tokens into:

Derek or Paula?

Derek. Easily Derek. He has what many people would consider to be perfect traits for a Hunter.

Paula doesn't have Luck or Bullet Dodge, both of which are significantly more valuable than Defensive Stance, which might be the worst character trait in the game.

Yup Derek. That was an easier decision than what I want to have for breakfast. Been an hour and I still haven't decided. I got cereal, waffles, breakfast burritos or leftover pizza.

Just because a character doesn't have bullet dodge doesn't make them useless or less desirable - for any mission without raiders/freeman/Saviors and in outposts if you TG dash instead of fighting defenders, bullet dodge is a wasted trait. (That would be Derek and Diane - iron skin/ bullet dodge)

You could build separate teams (I do) but probably wouldn't spend tokens beyond pink star to lessen body shots on characters without bullet dodge.

@DarkZero Oh, breakfast burritos, easily.

@Necroboogie You're right that Bullet Dodge isn't critical. In fact, two out of my three legendary hunters has the same traits as OP's Diane, and I love them on missions without human enemies. However, given that OP already has a Hunter (Diane) that is perfect in those situations, Derek is an easy choice to upgrade next so that OP can have some flexibility in those missions.

@JayZ that was my point, I'd be spending tokens on Derek from now on for outpost and missions with human ranged enemies. Even thou he won't be using his bullet dodge trait in just walker missions, Derek would still be kicking walker @$$

As you see I have both without/with bullet dodge as my top 2

Derek is a perfect all-rounder.
When in doubt, always SCRAP survivor with Defensive Stance.

I'm taking a picture of this thread just so that I can continue to have faith that some trait combinations are possible. I'd pay real money to add Derek to my roster. I'd scrap every hunter I had, go unlimited gas and xp and get the big boy gold pack to have him on varsity.
