Interrupt / Overwatch Issue with Freemen - Bonus Attack ?

Hi,
we all know that ranged Interrupt with Freemen and Walkers is a bit funny, but please check my video snippet from Back Alley mission.

I clearly "interrupt" the hunter raider and it seems he still goes into overwatch.

When I'm moving towards him he still can shot me as he gets a "Bonus Attack" (0:50).

Is this expected behaviour ?

I can't tell it 100% but I have the impression that he can't get that "Bonus Attack" when he went more fields before he gets interrupted.

@JackBauer , that happens because of the interrupt, if you notice 34/35 seconds in to the video, the hunter gets hit by overwatc, then the text interrupt, then overwatch is shown. The interrupt caused the hunter to stop and enter overwatch. When you moved Sheila-DB, the hunter hit back with overwatch.

But why does Alex gets a free overwatch although I interrupted him ? Is that expected/programmed behaviour ?

@JackBauer , this is getting into strategy but it's because you moved Andy. That caused the line of sight to expand and (fog of war) to disappear, normally Alex would use up more movement preventing overwatch. Try it without moving Andy and you will notice that the hunter movers further and gets interrupted but not enough AP to enable overwatch.

You are trying to explain why this happens but the main question is not answered.

If interrupting happens within 1AP, the opponent will get overwatch - is that "expected", e.g. "programmed by intention" - behaviour ?

(we can also move this thread into strategy / general discussion if this is intended).

@JackBauer , yes, raiders do get overwatch when interrupted same as your survivors. Since 1 AP is left and no further action can be taken, raiders and survivors go into overwatch.

The same "feature" also applies to humans in outposts. If you where really lucky and your ranged guys did not shot any walker spawn after opening the gate and instead hits for example some RF3 Bruiser that is moving his position then the stopped Bruiser still gets into overwatch who can tackle any passing attacker.

It is bit annoying because you don't know if opponent goes to overwatch after interrupt or not.
Simple solution - stop completely opponents action after interrupt.

Isn't the bonus attack different thing than overwatch? Walkers get bonus attack when you try to run past them and the path is red to warn about it. Humans with melee weapons on the other hand seem to get a bonus attack when you move within their reach and there's no warning indicator. At least that happends often when they have first attacked and you are trying to move hunter or warrior to better angle.

But the messages that appear after attack are really messed up, I get "silenced" without the trait, "swift strike" on ranged attack, "sure shot" when taking a hit etc.

All your fighters shot Alex just body shot so interrupt trait doesn't work. About the overwatch after being interrupted i don't know. so sorry comment late since i am a new player! lol
