WHEN WILL WE GET SOME SORT OF GOLDEN CALL EVENT!!?!

I dont even remember when was the last time we got the event on higher chance of legendary and epic survivors on 15 radio call, or at least discounted golden call to 10 radios.
You should of put one of that for new year event
and not the silly jackpot event where you only get the bronze crates jackpot.

I'll admit bringing heroes into the game was incredible and made it a lot more interesting but now you're focusing too much on them and we dont even get the chance to get golden call event anymore, we are just getting hero call events.

A lot of people (including me) saved up radios and we are just waiting for the good oportunity to spend them and get some class tokens beacuse the 500 class tokens for one trait isn't easy to get.

They discontinued the increased chance of legendary and epic survivor events. The reasoning provided was that running it encouraged us to hoard phones, which was seen for reasons unstated as undesirable.

Unfortunately, many of us liked the 15 for 10 so much that we started hoarding for it as well. I hope that doesn't mean it's been discontinued now, too.

Next has often encouraged us to just spend the radios.

All caps (aka shouting) is not going to change that.

Can I ask why they encourage that? Not being a d1ck btw I'm genuinely curious

If they run an ICELS I'll spend all of them ;)

    Can't speak for them.

My opinion: hoarding them and obsessively waiting for events that only came round once in the lifetime in the game is leading to frustration.

The purpose of the radios is to use them. Using them will give actual advancement to the game. Hoarding them only gives potential to possible advancement somewhere in the future but this doesn't help the game in the now.

Any collector of phones does so by their own choice and likely against better judgement. They should not complain if the wait takes forever. Next has no obligation to accommodate the hoarding. And this comes from someone with 2400+ radios.

I'm always afraid if I spend all my phones that next event is gona be radio event

Exactly. This is actually what happened to me. When they suggested they would never run ICELS again, I blew about 600 phones. Then I had nothing to take advantage of the 15 for 10 when it happened. I got about six calls instead four, if I remember correctly. So the event could have been an extra 20ish calls if I had hoarded, but it was only an extra 2 calls because I had been spending.

So I learned my lesson and started hoarding again. Contrary to @MadPuppy's assessment, I think it's very good judgment to hoard phones. Sooner or later they're bound to run a decent phone event.

Presently I have 1000 phones saved. I make a call every time I hit 1015 or higher. So I have the best of both worlds. I have a reserve for the day when they run a good phone event, but I also make regular calls to gain tokens.

NG doesn't want us to hoard radios and are encouraging us to use them. Then give us a good reason to do so (i.e. ICELS or a discounted gold call event --- something....anything!!). I guarantee you that 99% of hoarders (myself included) will spend all of our radios if we see another one of these radio call events...and I'm not talking about the "Special Hero Calls" for a better chance of hero tokens. That event is a joke! If you want to get rid of a radio call event, please get rid of those instead.

    Depends on perspective @Pig
I've got about 2400 now, and will hold on until there's something that makes them worth more than just face value.

But holding on is not for everyone. No one will hear me complain about how long I have to wait. Next is under no obligation to cater to my obsession.

I've spent large amounts of radio's twice right before an event. I promised myself: never again. I'll wait a year if I have to.

It sounds like we're really in agreement then. I'm confident they'll run a good one some day, so I'm not complaining either. If I end up tiring of the game before a good radio event comes, no skin off my back. I'll just quit with 1000 radios sitting there!

    @MadPuppy @Pig

One could argue that it was your spending that did, in fact, trigger the event. Maybe if we started a movement to get all the hoarders to spend... mmmm, say, half their stash?

Call it a social experiment ;-)

PS - I've got 1200, and I do the same as Pig... spending every time I get 1215 or more.

Nearly everything is leading to frustration if you are maxed out. Doing some 15 calls doesn't make it better.
I learned my lesson in October 2016. I can wait.
