I tried out TWD Road to Survival. I am only starting out, but I really like the game. - Its got a good UI, - It has basically no load times - There is so much content - There are different events
No doubt there will still be random bugs, and things people like. But I have a feeling that game is going to take up more of my time than this game.
@DeanTWD there was a glitch in the game that if you started a challenge mission and closed the app quickly you would return to the camp. Some players took advantage of that glitch to get more stars in the challenge missions. Players whom did were penalized with a 1 week ban.
This is not to be confused with the outpost glitch where the defenders have 4 walkers making it impossible to charge up your attackers charge abilities before opening the gate.
Also don't confuse this with the leaderboard glitch that shows the incorrect number of stars when you start playing and shows everyone's guild as #1.
It is also different from the glitch that allows a player to earn 2x the influence or 2x the TG's after winning an outpost raid.
And whatever you do, don't confuse it with the glitch that causes you to lose 2-3 minutes in your outpost raid when you lose connection are restart it 30 seconds later.

But none of the other glitches are willingly triggered by the player with the intent to exploit that "glitch" to get stars they did not earn. In other words, cheat. The ban is well deserved.
@8900rpm the double TG would be considered a cheat but since nobody is technically taking anything from anyone else most players whom are aware of it don't find it unethical and are polite not to do it for influence against others.
But thankfully in 2.4 I heard that was fixed so it's no longer an issue either.
Now if only outposts had 6 walkers like It was noted in 2.2 we'd be nearly perfect. That was in October btw.
If I can add one thing. Having a week ban to right the total star counts is a fair medium. If someone ran up stars 2 weeks ago and can't earn any this week they somewhat offset eachother.
Those that experimented with it paid the consequences. It's a fair balance.
That is why I agreed with your post @8900rpm although I think NG should have handled it better BEFORE temporarily banning players, hindsight is 20/20.
I'm sure if players knew of consequences of a programming error they might have acted differently.
Those that used it missed out on the best weekend event (increased radios) and 1 minute gas today. Punishment enough lol

I agree with @DLich, thats fine, I got banned for using it. But NG could have also told everyone (not just a special few), that there will be punishments.
@DeanTWD , do you know what NG did last time there was a star exploit. They told everyone about it and told them to use it.
I looked at the risk-reward of the bug/exploit and decided that I would be OK using the exploit given NG's history of not doing anything when exploits are called out. I was around when players got massive star totals when shooting and moving to the exit at the same time. No punishment was ever handed out. I didn't use that exploit, but watched passively as others did. It seemed like using exploits and bugs was just part of the game. I got sucked in like so many others.
In the end, it was a calculated risk that I lost. It figures it was the first time I tried something like that and got popped. Oh well.
I rediscovered my Angry Birds game and have been having fun. In the end, NML is just a game. I haven't invested a ton of money in it - just time.
So, I would like to keep asking NG what bugs are ok to use and which are not. A public list would be helpful. Is the Double TG bug in outpost raids Ok? Is shooting through walls acceptable? Is an outpost with a fatty in your face or with only 4 walkers considered fair play?
But regardless of the game bugs and lack of communication from NG, I'll use a movie quote:
@blynknz You missed out on about 10,000 TG just from production. Other things you missed out on was about 3 million in food production unless you were maxed, TG and phones earned from the challenge and a bunch of other stuff. So if you only did it for 30 stars you got the same punishment as some one who did it during multiple challenges. Not very fair that the punishment was the same across the board.
@SCBMA I never thought of it that was. Players that only have 4 walkers as defenders get an advantage that other players don't since their opponents can't charge their guys.
Even if the minimum was 6 you could have 2 assaults and both get charged while your third survivor is the one opening the gate.
And since they are winning defenses due to this glitch there's no incentive to add more walkers and have a higher chance of winning defense which gives influence.
This would be an exploitation of sorts although maybe not deliberate and certainly not something a player caused.
The infuence ranks actually give a reward every 2 weeks. This should be something that should be corrected right away.
Ok sorry for going off topic. I guess when players are temporarily banned for a week they read the terms of service and analyze the game.

I don't think the 4 walkers in Outpost glitch is as big a deal as others seem to. My main raiding team consists of scout, shooter and bruiser, in part because they only take 2 kills to charge. Even with just 4 walkers I can charge 2 of 3 attackers, and with gear that has the chance of extra charge point on kill I can sometimes get all 3 charged up.
I agree it's lame the glitch continues to exist, but it doesn't inhibit me from winning Outposts.
Honestly, I'm not sure how many walkers appear in my OP when defending. If someone raids me and wants to share, I'm all ears. I've upgraded walkers but never added any, so it's possible there are 4 there instead of 6. I don't intend to make it harder for attackers, but I'm not inclined to spend my TG to add more simply because NG cant get their fix to work.
I'll take your word for it. I'm just saying it doesn't have a big impact on me personally. I play in 5000-tier for the higher tg reward but don't chase the leaderboards.

I am only starting out, but I really like the game.
- Its got a good UI,
- It has basically no load times
- There is so much content
- There are different events
No doubt there will still be random bugs, and things people like. But I have a feeling that game is going to take up more of my time than this game.

Get alive...I got a shitstorm for playing a farming mission by auto-clicking...which I could have done by my fingers...but in longer time
