If I recall, I finished it with an 8th lvl epic hunter and an 8th lvl rare shooter. Both with decent gear that had a few upgrades.
I made it through on the 1st try, but barely. At least 3 times I thought I was done. but got lucky and my survivor dodged or the luck trait kicked it.
My girl is stuck on that lvl now as well. It's very hard.
I think the timing is important as well. Neither too fast or you will run into unseen walkers nor to slow as too many will pile out the doors.
Also use your charged abilities at the right moment.
I wish you luck Annette578. I know i needed in a big way.

You need to stay on the move - better to run away in this one than to try to fight all of the walkers

Took a scout and a hunter. Kept moving and bunched up the walkers so I could take them out more effectively with the hunter. Scout was essentially being a bodyguard for the hunter taking out things that got too close/clearing the path ahead.5 -

With the shooter, I used a lot of over watch. They can be quite effective defensively from a distance.
The hunter I got the best angle I could and took out as many walkers as I could as fast I could. Except in the case of the Big ones that stun your survivors. I always try and take them out first.
For the most part I didn't worry too much about my shots attracting them. They are all over the place as it is.
I also concentrated on Taking out the ones in front of me on the way to free the trapped survivor. I figured I'd deal with those behind me on the way out.
My girl finally got through it. She decided her survivors were not high enough lvl. So she did some guild challenges and side explorations to get enough XP to lvl up.
I'll ask her tonight what team she used.
Hang in there. You'll get thought it.5 -

I used 1 bruiser, one scout.
Like what @Verbaub and @zoson said, you always want to stay on the move. You don't want to get swarmed all of a sudden. Hit, run, hit, run, that's the benefit of melee units. If you're unsure about a corner, use the bruiser to overwatch that corner. Remember to use the charge attacks on the enemies as well. Once the warrior comes out, you should be able to clear faster and move faster. Good luck, stay human, survive.5
