Yes something free is better than nothing. I will find a use for it on my alt, but will scrap for tokens on my main.
But here is the rub. Folks have already mentioned it. We got better rewards for the semi finals. You would expect the opposite to be true. I continue to think that Next Game doesn't quite understand the human mind. As also mentioned many times, you bust your butt of at very high levels and you get a few tokens for a hero you will never use. While it is true you might picked up a lot of trade goods along the way, it is just such a let down when you get to the special box and get so little. Luckily I have lowered my expectations to nil and just crush stars for my guild.
How many notifications for this, how excited were NG about promoting this to us every day in our 'news' and what a pathetic and totally fingers up to us all. Am astonished they have the nerve to be honest and think they are children constantly thinking how they can infuriate us next. Grow up NG staff, a reward should be an rewards and epic is like winning the silver medal which in a few hours like second best everyone will forget.
Yeah, when @Teeceezy teased that the reward might be a weapon, I wrote that I wouldn't be getting my hopes up bc it wouldn't be legendary. Turns out I was right. It's a great rifle if you don't have any legendary rifles, but when you've already got this rifle twice over in legendary from crates, all it amounts to is 9750 xp points.
I'm glad that it will help the people that it will help. Bummer for those who just got less xp than one xp scavenge mission (or one outpost raid without actually killing the people).
To be honest, this "campaign" was complete crap. If you want to engage players in a game-wide battle, tell us what the rewards are for each side before we vote, make the rewards something to get excited for, then people might actually be motivated to play for their side. You can't get excited over something you don't know. So, for me, I clicked my button on the poll and didn't give a hoot about killing more or less walkers. Customer satisfaction and appreciation should be a goal of NG's, but they continue to disappoint.
A golden crossbow would be a more logical reward or at least a legendary rifle. Level 20 epic is of no use to me, so it will be trashed. Unless the gear rewards are highest level you might as well just give out a tokens reward. Tokens have equal value across all different levels of players unlike sublevel gear.
In all serousness, the traits are perfect for high level missions and if you don't already have a legendary version with that combination, I recommend you uograde it and try it out.
You know I agree Legendary is better BUT I've had good luck with epic hunter weapons..the traits are decent..it'll be good for the survivors that I don't get around to upgrading but need a decent weapon because all my guys in the hospital...could the FREE gift be better? Sure. But at East it's decent..they could've given us another Dixieland BBQ at 2 levels under what you are lol
