NG: You upset with us - no event this weekend?

@TK-421 @Teeceezy @OldGoth
I know the forum can turn into an almost hostile place of feedback, but I personally do hope that everybody at NG is aware of the fact: if there weren't so many dedicated players to this game, there wouldn't be so much passionate feedback.
Maybe we all lose sight of the sheer fact how much this game is meaning to us, the players.
How many hours, and HOURS are spent evolvng our camp, survivors, gear and strategies.
So, the expectations are HIGH, and - frankly - not always met, when sudden changes get into the way we like to experience the game.
If I might propose a few things:
- Please, discuss changes with us. Why wouldn't you? Why can't you?
Most of us are adults here (I had to put that in...) and can deal with simple facts of reasoning.
We know that not all features can make it immediately into the next update.
Something like: 'hey folks, we are thinking of the following features for the next two versions, what do you think?' Potentially followed by something like this: 'Sorry, we decided against feature X because .... '
- Pls, before you 'nerf' a certain feature in the game, think about if it could affect the entire player community in a bad way. Yes, we need to stop exploits, stop endless farming, but do we have to kill all Bruisers for it? Do we need to remove all 2* rescue survivors to accomplish it? I would be more than happy to give input on how we could possibly close some of the exploits, and I'm very sure many others here would too.
- Including us (well, the Android players...) into a Beta for the Outposts is a MARVELOUS idea!
Beta testers are sharing their experience and feedback not only with you, but only with the rest of the forum.
What more could you want? This is the best (and cheapest) marketing.
I know we can't expect a beta for everything, the cost would kill you, I do software project for a living, and much bigger than this game.
So, here is me reaching out to NG - very likely speaking in the names of many dedicated players - and offering constructive feedback, ideas, help in any form.

And even though I might use sarcasm and irony in many comments I wouldn't be here if the game was no fun - even with not so nice surprises, technical issues and a lack of communication

This isn't my first dance I've been playing video games etc for 35 of my 39 years on this spinning mud ball we call a planet, I've seen it all before, the PR waffle when things get changed, the lack of communication to the community etc.
Common mistake every dev makes is gather feed back after making live changes and it v rarely ends well as your finding out now.
So please please please communicate with us and when you do be honest as some explanations yesterday had more holes in than the finest Swiss cheese.

They're a commercial company. They offer their services and we can take it or leave it.
We're hobbyists. We offer everything to them for free (or even pay to do it), but we won't be able to force them to change their company over night. We can only wait and see, trust them to listen carefully and to speak when they have something to say. They're fully aware of us being out here expecting things...
But as you say further down, there's also a drawback, it may seem like a pleasant drawback, but it may also become a curse:
The "customers" clearly outnumber the developers here. We put in as much spare time we can, they work hours. Right on! I belive I may actually spend more time on the forum than in the game... Trying to help lost gamers, trying to bring clarity into the bugreports to aid the devs and the community. But in all, maybe I'm just adding to the volume of noise. I can't see how they could cover all the messages in the forum, and even before that working through the in-game issue-reports. Actually I'm impressed with the mods here being able to join in as much as they do! I feel that the problem is deeper than that. To me it seems as if they were not really ready for the beta. But I still agree that it was a good idea (if it doesn't kill them this time) and they should take this opportunity to learn the working process.
Project size is not a clearly measurable thing (and I'm not interested in such comparisons) but I think the trouble here is that NG may not have planned for this success: The amount of users, the urge of sharing feedback, the infrastructure requirements. Most of all, a developing model and enough developers to make updates as fast paced as the gamers themselves. It's utopia, but they need to decide to level up or not. And maybe they have, but we don't believe them when they tell us that it will come soon?
Maybe I should point out what @Putchuco said and turn it into a suggestion of my own to NG:
Consider a way to "recruit" a few of the most helpful/hateful players and make them another dedicated group with pre-views coming up. That would clear out the noise of the masses and focus the reports. That would lower the "cost of customer service" over time I suppose. Then you only need internal decision making to actually focus on what real customer wants, and developer staffing to do those changes.
So, with an open question to the mods: What do you want us to do, how can we support you to make our suggestions heard among the decision makers? Are you happy as is?
PS. Sorry for putting weights in your thread Putchuco. No harm intended.
@JAG , no need to appologize, I liked your post, thx.

So, yeah. Keep the feedback coming, it's good to know you're paying attention. We're learning all the time.
+1 to @OldGoth. Keep the feedback coming, we are listening!
I know I would be upset about some of the things written on the forum.
Good to hear you have (developed?) a thick skin
Let us know how exactly we can help best, we LOVE to make this a better game.
And, pls, if AT ALL possible, just be open and forthcoming with us, we can take some bad news. What we're struggling with is finding sh*t out as we step into it.
Bruiser that doesn't stun anymore, as we are completing an important mission.
Weeks of preparation to solve an episode on Nightmare, just to find out that the reward is not worth it anymore. I hope you understand how easily this can create some rash feelings.

But yes, we're striving towards better communication with you guys.
First of all, trying to rescue survivors that are of no use to us is pointless. Second of all, trying to horde all of the supplies and XP points just so you can upgrade your council (for over a million supplies no less) and THEN having to horde them again to upgrade the training grounds (which us dedicated players have been waiting for a looong time to do) when it is almost impossible to get supplies from anywhere else than your farm plots (which are also ridiculously high to upgrade) and limited in quantity (and the XP tents, 2? I won't go there now). I have been playing this game for a while and I have enjoyed it, but I also feel like the game is not fun anymore because all we can do is wait around for supplies, pray that we can get a survivor that is not capped out at level 14/15, because the walkers are at level 18-20 at this point, and when the new updates come out there are not really any improvements, yet several disappointments. I understand that you are working hard to fix the bugs etc. but if you play the game yourselves (i'm talking about the devs and ppl responsible for the game) and have everything maxed out, is it fun anymore, or is it frustrating to have to wait for EVERYTHING just so you can get enough supplies and XP to be able to upgrade ONE building or survivor (in 12-24+ hours)? I don't understand why the prices are so high. I get that you want to challenge us, but having to wait forever to upgrade and max out our supplies storage just to upgrade 1 thing and then wait again and again, it is very slow moving ad unrewarding at times. So please, let me know developers and NG people responsible for this game, do you play this game? And how far have you gotten, and is it frustrating at all to you? I just want to know if you experience what we do so you can understand where we are coming from better. Maybe its just me.
I'm suppose those who have been playing since the beginning or even a few months ago are all on the same boat about this ideal
I really don't like to complain. I enjoy this game and definitely do not have the skill set to develop a game let alone fix stuff. Having said that - what agentwalker said are exactly my thoughts and frustrations. I've played a lot less this past week for all of those reasons. Just getting frustrated about not moving past the same spot for several weeks now. I like to play, but I also like to progress.
