Benefits of guild membership

What exactly are the benefits of being in a guild? Is it just that in a weekly challenge you will get a handful of extra crates? My guild has only ever got to the 480 star mark so far, but do the contents of the crates get better the more stars the guild gets?

the guild rewards are garbage in general.
NG knows about it and says they lplan to do something about it soon.

the real rewards come from getting higher level challenges, which net much better rewards than normal ones.

It's not just about more rewards, which are mostly weak atm but overall it's more fun. Chatting, sharing experience etc. Feels less lonely too ;) Some guilds also care about leaderboards, so it's a bit of competitive side as well :)

@DanDare : It says what @Mirza said already, but for future reference I think the wiki says it well.

It doesn't specifically answer questions about the reward value though.

@DanDare the guild rewards correlate to what level you personally are. So if you're 40 you'll get better stuff than if you are 30. In my old guild we did extensive testing of this and I can confirm it.

The rewards in general aren't that great like Dread already said.
How many stars do you get DanDare?

I usually get around 120, but I have gone up to the next one up (I think 162) before. My guild generally only gets to the 480 mark though. I'm trying to work out whether I will get much benefit from moving to a guild that gets more stars or to carry on working on making people in my current one participate more.

a guild that does more is generally more fun.
you CAN get good stuff but guild rewards, but it's far rarer than it should be.

Gives you some one to talk to if there on when you are but It doesn't run like other chats I never see it roll. Guess it's kinda like the forum but you don't have to reload the game every time you check it out

    Pros:
    1- You don't drink alone.
2-You don't have to talk to your gf,wife..or cat as much.
3-Much like NG,we give each other hugs and candy for a job well done.

    Cons:
    A-You don't drink alone.
B-Your cat gives better advice than your guild mates.
C-It's usually last years Halloween Candy, and Derrick keeps goosing me,he's an HR nightmare.
