Wrestler is a remnant of this game's medieval past which reared its ugly head in The Distance. This is the age of Badges, of Pink survivors, of Incendiary, of Ruthless, of a whole new age of game development at many levels, of new ways of playing and of new and better strategies.
For The Distance, just cap the number of survivors you can use to, say, 50 (or lock them in at the beginning so you can't add more) and let us keep our wrestling trait.
They could just scrap the wrestle trait and give us some other "FUN" tools to deal with high level walkers. I wouldnt consider wrestling a fun mechanic.
