How did Morgan get to Alexandria

To my recollection he was using a map that Rick had that was been going to washington-dc not Virginia that map was from when they still were trying to get Eugene where he wanted to go so how does Morgan end up in Alexandria

    He finds and saves Daryl and Aaron, not knowing who they are, just being a nice guy. He then asks for help because he's lost, shows Daryl the map, and then Daryl sees the words inscribed on the map

    But how did he even get that far on a map that shows how they were going to Washington DC not Virginia

    Have you looked at a map before? Alexandria is on the way to DC

    Okay maybe but Morgan had no way of knowing that they stopped in Alexandria they didn't even know they were stopping in Alexandria they only went to Virginia to find what's his name's family then Aaron found them and took them to Alexandria

    And Morgan found them on the way to D.C. In the middle of nowhere, not in Alexandria. And then was led to Alexandria by Daryl and Aaron.

    They found him near Alexandria they were on a scavenge Mission they found him after Rick was already in Alexandria so they were close had to been miles away
