I wish all my hard sought after and upgraded gear had longevity...
Agree with this sentiment totally. The option to upgrade the base level +1 on a beloved piece of equipment would do quite a bit in terms of earning player goodwill and improving player morale. Make it a reasonable monetary fee, or some amount of TG's, but please give us a realistic mechanism to fulfill this.
How come we have to find out about this on the forums and not in game? A small percentage of players use this forum, shouldn't everyone be notified of these changes? Just a link to the announcement in game would work fine. Communication is always so poor with NG. @Teeceezy@Fearofabotplanet
When will the developers get it right. With the amount of rebalancing done every year and update it sounds like they don’t know what they doing. Every nerf is done in the name of “Rebalancing” that gets old. Can we come up with a better name. Gives us something new.
Me and my bro have been done playing (and for damn sure paying) for all intensive purposes for a couple weeks now...thanks to my friend who turned me on to Hempire...you know who you are
But a few people asked for this info privately so I thought I'd make it my final post for posterity sake:
Info for doing refunds through Apple and Google
Apple: 1. Go to getsupport.apple.com 2. Click on Apps and Software, then iOS apps, then App Store/iTunes store, then iTunes account billing...you can then schedule a phone call with them 3. You will start with Tier 1...I believe their max is 14 days and $500 4. You can try and go to Tier 2...their max is 30 days and $1500 5. If you get a good rep just be super nice and explain to them that over 50% of the traits in the game were nerfed...explain in detail if needed 6. If all goes well you should get some money refunded back and they will email you a confirmation...can take anywhere from 1-10 days to get the money refunded back 7. NG has to pay the majority of the cost...Apple has to pay a small percentage 8. If Apple gets enough refunds against NG then NG can actually get warned...obviously it costs Apple a small percentage of money and time for having to deal with this and they don't like it...and if NG knows they're at risk of pissing off Apple (which without them they're done) that could hurt them more than the actual money refunded
Google: 1. Google generally doesn't do refunds sadly...except for the last couple business days 2. Your best bet is to go to your bank or credit card company 3. Any decent bank will have a process to deal with fraudulent charges 4. Dealing with a bank or credit card company is harder and takes longer fyi 5. Most should have you complete and sign an affidavit and then they will investigate
Some final advice: 1. This forum is useless...NG doesn't care about your opinions or wishes...some are them are truly wonderful people (Teeceezy for example) but if you think they are considering your input I have a Pentium 3 computer to sell you for $2000...the only "benefits" to the forum are people who are obsessed with talking about rodents for some reason or doing endless useless spreadsheets and math for a cell phone video game 2. As long as people keep playing and more importantly paying (I was guilty of this for a LONG time)/obsessing over stars/rankings/personal bests/etc then the same shit will keep happening...see the thread about people scoring 2000 stars and the person who had to point out that they made it even though their score showed wrong...and then pointed out it didn't matter despite them coming to the forum to toot their own horn...that's gold for NG right there lol 3. I've seen this game piss off more people and cause more negativity (guilty myself) than any other game I can remember and I've been gaming a long time...games are meant to be FUN and make you happy...if you feel yourself getting caught up in this I pray you find something better like I did
Peace out peeps...I had a great time with a good many of you and wish all of you happiness...as someone who is very anti-drug I'll be off growing and selling weed virtually and winning the Hempire Cup...at least until I get to Termi's league
You better check yo self before you wreck yo self...cuz I'm bad for your health, I come real stealth

Last council upgrade I provided a suggestion; once a piece of gear is fully upgraded, have the option to pay an XP fee to increase the base level. Once this fee is paid, all traits become locked again and you need to upgrade it 3 times once again to the new max. This means there is a substantial XP amount needed to get your gear to this point. Because of this, you wouldn't want to do this for every piece of gear under the new max. But for the items you deem perfect, it gives you a path to carry on with them. I'd say that's a win-win for both NG and the players.

I am sure $pending XP doesn’t doesn’t generate near the income for NG that weapon bundles do. Just sayin’
@Serp True. But there's also the argument that more people (myself included) would spend $$ on weapons bundles if they never became obsolete. Plus they could sell XP bundles too or something. I don't know. I'm just sick of the gear hunt. Right when I finally feel like I have my gear and my team where I want it, bam, a new council upgrade appears.
PLEASE reconsider the nerf to wrestler don't listen to the extreme minority (don't give me the usual bs saying non forum ppl are complaining about wrestler I'm in a number of recruiting groups and they have no idea how and don't even believe the distance can be beat, also what possible reason would they want a nerf) find a different way to make the distance harder to beat make the roster set or something don't make it impossible until we get survivors to lvl 30+
As has been said, nerfing wrestler is a minority viewpoint here. It makes no sense to lower the enjoyment level of the majority of players.
The council upgrade is fine by me. It seems fair enough since the last update did not include one. But what does this allow us to do in terms of anything new? By nerfing the wrestler trait, NG is lowering the threshold of players who have utilized this legitimate strategy, and the only way to get far in the distance or challenge (apart from pink stars) is to level up your team. This means having to grind xp, supplies, gear, and tg's but still players will not get as far as they currently do.
This is a terrible decision that still has the ability to be taken back.
Instead of trying to make the game better for everyone (addressing traits such as silencer, which is useless, bullet dodge, which is mostly useless, bullet proof armor, which is mostly useless, fixing auto-cover, addressing the bugs with revenge, addressing the leader trait bugs, rebalancing bruisers, fixing the glitching that happens especially on fire-walker maps,free-men bugs, retaliate not working while in overwatch, and on and on), this is most certainly not a decision made for the betterment of the broad player base.
For those of you whose response to critical posts is "well, why don't you just quit!", if not for those speaking up, the hunter charge ability would still deal less damage than a regular critical attack, the hospital would still be completely nerfed, retirement values for non-elite survivors would still be much less than they should be, massive nerf to how many videos we get to open more post-mission crates... need I go on? The fact is, critical feedback has made this game better, and when making a change to the game, the question should always be asked, "Will this change cause more enjoyment or less to the majority of players?" It is a game after all.
What's more predictable the way Ng does upgrades or the tired complaints coming from The Forum? I'm sorry but the weapons you use can still be used they're not useless. They're about as effective as they always are if they're not upgrading the Walkers. So you can do exactly the same thing you did before with upgrades you actually do get a chance to do better. To me I don't see why that's a complaint also stop complaining about having to upgrade weapons. It's ridiculous to think that they would change that. It would make trade goods almost useless and make the game way too easy. Ifu never had to upgrade your weapons you could spend all your XP upgrading other things it's just never going to happen much like a phone event please people let's move on
@Bryan18 It's called strategy. You know, different gear for different situations. By no means do I have what I would call perfect gear for every survivor for every situation. I may have a few items that I think are perfect and would like to keep them until the end. I would still grind for TG so I could try and find the perfect combination of traits for any situation I could find myself in. It would just be nice to not have to abandon everything every 3-4 months.
EDIT: Also, gear is hardly the only thing to spend TG on so that part of your argument makes no sense.
Can we PLEASE reconsider the nerf to Stun Resistance? I have accepted the inevitability that it will be nerfed, but is there any reason it has to be capped at 75%?
75% makes it so that the gold trait doesn't interact with Luck at all, indirectly nerfing Luck and making it more or less totally useless. The other traits that Luck interacts with (Dodge, Swift Strike, etc.) have such low percentages, that Luck is already effectively useless other than boosting Stun Resistance.
Why can't we make it 90%? That way, a survivor can have Luck on a weapon or as a trait and still be able to reap some additional benefit. It actually opens up a lot of strategizing and customization.
It's so terribly ironic that in the name of "rebalancing" and "giving players more options and builds", you're actually restricting players' abilities to customize their survivors. If the cap remains at 75%, then Luck becomes the next Bullet Dodge or Silencer (two traits that have both notably been nerfed) and people will avoid it like the plague. Does that sound like "giving players more options" to you?

You don't have to abandon anything and if you didn't need trade Goods for gear then you can spend it just on tokens and you have way too many pink Stars floating around. . also sorry about the run-on sentences with all this math and now grammar I think I'm back in school again
Yeah, well, you know... most people try to make their stuff easy to read for others if they want their arguments to be heard (or read in this case).
I refuse to read posts without punctuation and paragraphs. If you can't take the time to add those then you can't expect anyone to invest the time to read them.

Morbid Survivors are looking for you! If you are looking for a new guild, PM me.
There were a number of thoughtful suggestions to deal with the issue of LLS and wrestler trait in The Distance after it premiered, such as having a set lineup once the event starts. Instead of any of those, we get an across-the-board nerf of the trait plus a stun resist nerf on top. Boo-urns.
NG staff should really re-read that thread and consider some alternate solutions instead of this easy route that affects all game modes and makes another armor trait undesirable.
@Mabiki Having a fixed number of survivors once started won't stop people using wrestler to beat the distance, there are player with 75 survivor slot, for those lower survivor roster you can simply pay 40 gold to heal all heavy injury survivors back to green health to wrestler again.
How come we have to find out about this on the forums and not in game?
Simple answer: Who´s not on the forum won´t complain. Forum users will activate a shitstorm, while the anonymous non-forum player will shut up and go ahead to buy bundles.

It's good to see in this day and age with all the problems in the world. People still have values and stand by them. All of u keep fighting the good fight.
I like when the forum gets into a rage. I predict the next steps: - shteevie will show up and make a lengthy long post that will make people even more angry - Painclasher will make a reference to his signature - Some people will explain apple refund policy - some people will say they quit (and then ressurect) - A few fellow forum members gets jailed and then banned - and some people will just relax and enjoy the show

Yes, but they paid real $ to get that many slots. I see no reason to take that advantage away. The ability to retire an injured survivor, call a new one, and wrestle again was the only issue I had with the strategy being exploitative.
Even the wrestler nerf won't solve that. People will still be able to call a 1-star survivor and sacrifice them, either as walker food while they attack, or as a disposable survivor to ditch when fleeing. The Distance will still be beatable for people willing to call and retire multiple survivors and spend gold to heal. The solution NG has will not really fix the issue, but it will make the wrestler trait inconsequential in high-level challenge play. A struggling level 22 bruiser will never kill a level 28 walker. So better off to get armor with different traits useful at low RSL.
On top of something that I wrote previously (see below) I would like to see fix or changes for two other things that are annoying as hell for me.
- Burning walkers causing lag, it's so annoying that I don't even know how to describe it. I have heroes with igniting guns and whenever they start firing the map is getting slower and slower to play with, it causes some mistakes with moves etc. common it has to be fixed soon. what's funny - NG admits of the issue and they are aware of it. And what they do? They threw at us challenge last week with 3 maps full of burning walkers, like wtf. is anybody put any sort of thinking into it? really?
- I don't know how it is called, but auto hidding feature on maps with freemans or at outpost - there should be an option to turn it on and off or something. I don't want my guy to run straight into the shadow to fire at somebody from the distance when he can do it from his initial spot. sometimes my finger is too quick and I release it before i realize he's going to hide somewhere. next thing I know is he's standing next to two fatties and three armored walkers. way to go. ffs.
I understand there are a lot of issues to be fixed or changed as seen in discussion above. But NG should really take a look in some basic stuff and concepts as well. There are still areas remaining to be fixed.
What about distance difficulty? It should be based on survivors level similar way the challenge is right now. It's ridiculous that I can play distance having survivors at level 16 yet first map is with walkers level 17. It just puts you at losing spot straight up. I understand it should be difficult though for somebody with survivors at level 21 first few maps are much easier than for players with lower level survivors.
