I hated this challenge at first!

I was seriously ticked that my fully upgraded weapon and armor level 16 survivor was getting stunned by lvl 3 raiders and doing heavy damage after 2 hits. But I kept pushing through and found some strategies and totally changed up my A team and no I don't get the 3 stars I expect every time from low level challenges but it's actually not that bad. Takes some getting used to, yes and there are some glitches. But the rewards are better and the fuel cost rocks. Only downfall is how the lower leveled people in my guild. It's rough for them!

I agree. The new features are actually a nice change. I'm sure they'll tweak things over time based on our feedback.

I strongly recommend not tackling the deadly missions first. Make sure you know how to handle the humans!
    I like Zombies!

I still hate it. This has to be the laziest way to add "challenge" I've ever seen. All they did was break their own rules on proportional levels. Bravo. Any game would be harder if your broke the rules on proportional levels.

I've adapted quickly and already have almost 130 stars, but it's a lazy, lazy addition.

And I usually defend the makers of this game, so I'm definitely not one who complains often.

I like it now too. More strategy involved, gets bruisers involved again, and I'm a lvl 24 and I just reached 100 stars.

Ok I agree it's not so bad. For me. But I'm level 37 with very well armed experienced players in my queue. But I noted all my lower or newer player members in my guild are giving up. They can't pass one or two of the challenges because the humans are too difficult to kill the first round. I know everyone who plays awhile needs more difficulty. But they want and need new gamers to this game.
    Here is my thought.....
Ok so let's say the level 3 human enemies should be Father Gabriel or Eugine you are fighting. Little or no experience points gained in battle. Are all these games not fashioned after D&D?! They need to progress. Or be various EP points scattered with a metaphorical roll of the dice.. Or level 3 Human Enemies could be already injured from fighting walkers or other people. Or they are hungry/weak or sick. Something! Right now it doesn't make sense. They are too difficult at low levels.. Please work on it before you loose all the NEW and NEWER lower level players. You don't want to discourage new players that is not a good idea.

it could use some tweaking but yea a nice change, once you get a solid rhythm going its not to bad
  • Indeed once you incorporate the multiple hit kills for raiders in the strategy it is really fun. Especially like the fact that almost every map needs a different line up imo to achieve maximum stars

Im not sure whats so hard about them.
Most of the time they dont react so you can easily pick them off 1 at a time, and they usually 2 hits to take about (which is the same as our surivivors)
I think thats what people are forgetting.

It sounds like your players want a game with no challenege. I bet they expect every radio pull should be a 5^ hunter

Once it was known...that the human enemies took two shots to kill, they didn't bother me much. I usually took 2 hunters and an assassin, and tried to have the assassin stand overwatch near the hunters, just in case. Some of the challenges were difficult, while others were easy, as long as you take out the humans as soon as possible. I'm lvl 40, with mostly lvl 16 survivors and chalked up 180 stars. I can get a few more, but some are getting quite difficult now. I like the new challenge missions. Bugs or no bugs. I think NG did a pretty good job regardless of the minor problems in this release. Looking forward to the next new thing!

I don't think the humans are hard to kill but the challenges do take a few extra moves now. It's hard to run through as fast as I can now. I like the changes but it does take up more of my time.

Oh yeah and hunters add way more value to me now that I want to pick off humans from far away as I can. And those humans are sneaky, hiding in the shadows..
