I love the badges, but weeks later I still have no legendary and few epic as the VAST majority of badges come in at the level below all components. I know this is a chance but I really don’t feel it should be. As the badge fragments are so few and far between, even using all rare at my level (65) would give a good boost were they not continually spitting out uncommon badges. I seriously hope NG renege on this rule, or increase the drop rate of fragments.
i crafted 10 badges this morning with the fragments i collected this weekend (challenge and The Distance), always used components with the same rarity as the fragment (2 common, 3 uncommon, 3 rare, 1 epic, 1 legendary)
i received 2 badges with a worse rarity (both rare to uncommon), 7 badges with same rarity and 1 badge with a better rarity (common to uncommon), fortunately the epic and the legendary parts brought a badge of the same value
How bout NOT charging gold to replace badges on survivors.....and.....how bout giving components back when scrapping badges? I love the badges but these two issues bother me.
What does a guy have to do to get a damage reduction badge? I've made 100s of badges with every component combination and I have like 4 DR badges; all 1* or 2*. Any tested and true combos?
If I EVER say I'm going to buy another of the badge packages, someone please shoot me. I've gone that route twice and essentially wasted 2000 gold.
The first time I spent 500 for the small component crate and got an Uncommon fragment and 5 Common components. Made a badge using all Uncommon components and got a Common badge.
Then last week I splurged on the 1500 gold fragment crate. I got one Epic fragment, one rare fragment, two uncommon fragments, 1 common fragment, and various components (only one rare, everything else was uncommon or common, mostly the latter).
I tried to maximize my chances of getting good gear by using higher-level components than the badges. First I used the Epic fragment with four Legendary components--got a Rare badge. Then I used the Rare badge with four Epic components--got an Uncommon badge. The two Uncommon fragments paired with Rare components yielded Common badges. Finally, the Common fragment paired with Uncommon components produced an Uncommon badge.
In other words, the result of every badge-making but the last yielded a badge that was lower than any of the parts for that badge. The only reason the last one wasn't similarly lower was that there was nothing lower than the fragment.
Overall, for 2000 gold (along with four Legendary components, four Epic components, and the rest), all I got was one Rare badge, three Uncommon, and three Common. That's a ridiculous result, and a complete waste of my gold. I could have gotten those without spending all that gold.
I could stand it if the worst I could get was the equivalent level of the lowest-level component or fragment used for an item. But getting that many lower-level badges is simply a rip-off. That 1500 gold was 40% of my total, wasted.
If a badge says there is a bonus if the mission teammate is a Scout, does that bonus also apply when the teammate is a Hero and a Scout like Glenn, Carol, and Gabriel? I assume so, but wondering if this has been answered previously.
Solution A: 1% chance to collect all 5 legendary components, then 30% chance to get legendary badge from it, so it's 0.3% chance to have a legendary badge.
Solution B: 0.3% chance to collect all 5 legendary components, then 100% chance to get legendary badge from it, it's still 0.3% chance to have a legendary badge.
Which one is the better solution to not pissed off player?
I got so many components I can craft me many badges. But we lacking badge fragments. We need a badge fragment bundle or more frags given in rewards. Them 2 epics from the Distance are too low. Give some legendary ones. How about a weekend event to offer Legendary and Epic Badge Fragments (LEBF) in crates like that long ago radio event. Replace it with this type of event. Let’s Frag Out!
I'm 8 for 8 getting epic badges from a legendary badge fragment and legendary components. It's a very small data field, but that's 100% downgrade rate. And those fragments are not easy to find.
Why did my survivor's attack damage drop when I added a badge that should have added attack damage?
Survivor have a variation of damage from as low as -20% to as high as +20% (assault class), what you saw might because of those. It's not possible getting lower damage than before after you put some damage badge on that survivor.
This happens to me all the time. I'll have 3 survivors in my party. I'll go to switch one out. On my full survivor roster, the particular survivor I'm about to switch to has a certain damage, but as soon as I switch them into my party, their damage drops by a few hundred. I don't understand what's happening. Is this just some kind of visual glitch?
@Taulus
May also be a visual glitch or you may have had Abraham or another hero in lead before you added badge.
Whatever the case, as @Monsuta said, it's not possible to have less damage after adding a damage badge. In fact, any badge addition would not lower a survivors damage output.
@crambert_nec I could be wrong about this, but I think that the damage stated before your survivor is on the team includes all of the secondary bonuses, but it drops since you don't have a certain class/hero on the mission with said survivor. I haven't done the math though.
Here's an example of what I described. Pay attention to Bubba's and Liloo's damage values. They each have three different damage values at certain points throughout the video, but all I'm doing is swapping them out for each other continuously.
