Hey folks, dont panic yet. Having met @Teeceezy earlier this year in No Man's Land special event, I know this cant be him speaking. I am pretty sure that @Teeceezy 's account has been compromised and someone is trolling instead. I already sent email to [email protected] to check it out and take actions.
Ultimate chalenge was awesome, the regular old chalenge is just too boring. Please bring it back for good. I've been playing for a long time but this long running chalenge is just too time consuming.
Should have maybe gone into more detail with my post:
No, the Ultimate Challenge in how it was run won't be made permanent - we can't change the system to one where it alienates a lot of the player base.
We are going to try more challenge variations hoping to find elements within them that resonate with the whole community, and one of our primary goals is to find a solution that decreases the grind for you guys.
"Always be yourself unless you can be a capybara. Then always be a capybara". --> Do you need a guild? ...send me a Private Message. My Recruiting den and my "Art Objects" in the Next Games Collection.
But keeping a system that alienates a lot of the player base is of no immediate concern? Something needs to be done now. Not somewhen later when it is too late for many...
And my 2 cents: There will never, never, never, never, never ever be something that resonates with the whole community.
There will always be people like those who "miss out on stars" and don't see that this is a non-issue, same as missing out on rewards etc.
It's a nice sentiment but it won't work out. With hundreds of thousands of players, you will never be able to satisfy everyone.
Even if you gave all the rewards for free, no play involved, everyone would get 10 more stars each week than they made before so they will always have a new PB and during the challenge, there was 0 gas cost for all the other missions, people would complain - "Where is the challenge in that?" "I can't beat others anymore, that is unfair." "When I can play as much as I want, I play too much and have no time for friends and family and am going to get a divorce and lose my job and it's your fault"...

I guess the money drop was quite significant for NG, it just didn’t justify a change in the challenge mechanics. We can moan and cry as much as we want but at the end of the day, they’re a business. The question for NG remains though, are they willing to gamble on this? I know I’m sick of the grind, esp know that we had the ultimate challenge once and we have the daily quests coming up. Add the distance and we have way too many hours needed. I respect NG’s decision but for the love of god, please stop saying ”understand the fans”.

@Teeceezy Yeah... you alienated a large part of the player base when you added the low level grind starting the challenge at rsl14. This should be a matter of urgency for NG to make the game less mindless and more fun. What's the point in having multiple days of mindless game play before it actually gets interesting?
Well, people might not spend as much anymore on boosters but might ultimately spend the same amount on other things in the game if they don't feel like having to buy boosters anymore... not everyone, probably, but some...

What about a selection option like we have for the distance? You could do a more grind and a less grind option. Somehow figure out a way to adjust star counts or heck make two leader boards.
@Teeceezy wow. I have 60 players to look after and this response had hurt them.
Our top guild is gutted and a few of them have decided to park up in our vacation guild.
Its too grindy, this is suppose to be fun. Its gone on for too long now. Concidering 90% of players here loved it that is a low blow for the majority
@Teeceezy
Also if it is about the money (obviously you seen a decrease in players buying gas etc) then NG haven't thought it through properly. Players will now leave the game and you will lose more money that way. Yes I pay for gas, However I also pay for xp, bundles, and phones. I refuse to do this now just out of principle. I will also tell my guild to do the same.
I really don't think NG realise what impact they ahve made. With every player its always been about the grind. The round passes haven't helped much.

Can you define "a lot" of the player base? If the threshold is 5%, we'll never see any changes. Remember, this is the same group that voted for the Jackpot event over the Herd and 1-Min Gas.
The solution to drive change is an obvious one and one that I know won't happen. If all the Guilds instituted a no gas booster, no gold purchase policy then the revenue stream would be impacted. If we believe the decision to force us to grind is purely business related then you have to impact the business to elicit an analysis for desired change. You can voice your displeasure all day long on the forum but in the end the biggest voice you have is impact on revenue.
What the literal fuck is wrong with you people. We had a week of the most exciting the game has been in over a year and you decide that it is a bad thing? It's like you can't do something right because people wouldn't believe it was NG. Sorry, but enough is enough, and this is crap.
In a way, all of us has an El Guapo to face. For some, shyness might be their El Guapo. For others, a lack of education might be their El Guapo. For us, El Guapo is a big, dangerous man who wants to kill us.
I was pleased reading @Teezceey 's last post here. It's somewhat more positive than just a no.
I don't mind if there are some adjustments made to the Ultimate Challenge System, the main issue is the huge grid. If this is addressed I & I believe everyone will be happy.
I just hope a change isn't too far away as I'm hear more and more players question if they should continue.
That evidence can be seen in plain sight here on the forum or even in this thread alone.
I made a statement questioning how much our feedback is truly valued.
I probably said this too much in a negative way due to reading the "no change" response in @Teeceezy 's first statement.
I can only hope & assume our feedback is valued so I encourage players to continue feedback. Positive or Negative, feedback is good and the more constructive the better. Feedback, if not valued by NG, is valued by players themselves.
Let's keep the subject in foreground. I liked the Ultimate Challenge System as it was but I welcome any adjustments, the main issue is to address the current endless grinding in the current system.

Agree 1000%. This challenge has been absolute murder! I've got no idea who this alienated player base is, but I'm pretty sure 100% of the guild I'm in preferred the ultimate challenge to the usual grind fest. I'm pretty sure that any revenue NG lost in gas boosters has been more than made up for by these hero token bundles they've been putting out lately.

Just for the record, the round passes were a lot more helpful before update 2.8. However, since that update lowered the starting level for everyone with survivors above 20, it effectively negated the value of round passes by adding in extra rounds. I was concerned that would be the result when I saw the update notes, and my fear has been confirmed. 6 round passes used to allow you to start one level before your survivor level. Now they only get you to the start of the triple rounds at 19.1.
This week sucks. You are alienating me and many others making me grind stupid boring stuff over and over. Finally it’s almost getting challenging. On Sunday. And I don’t have enough gas to get to the challenging part.
Thanks a lot for showing me the game could be fun again. Then taking it away. NG you are like Lucy taking away the ball from Charlie Brown.
It’s crazy that your solution is to just bring things right back to a mind numbing grind. If you don’t solve this soon many players will soon decide to find something more fun.
I can’t stand this boring non challenging grind!!! BOOOOORINGGGG!!!!!!!
I'm pretty sure that the most alienated thing during the last week challenge was NG bank account as not so many players were in need for gas booster.
I would love to hear the rationale. Seriously. I understand that ultimate challenge might not be the permanent solution but why in the hell bring back that stupid grind? Why not stick with ultimate version and try to do some tweaks or additional improvement moving forward? Feedback was so positive here and even if we are just the portion of a fanbase I have hard time understanding what the problem might be.
