Back after a break and game is even worse

So after some months I comes bank to play with a new update and have been playing for 3 days and reading many complaints in forum. Lots to do with Grinds (not sure what grinds mean but think means to much cost & waiting to do things)
What I find bad is too many useless weapons & guns (I open the boxes after playing and full of useless stuff)
I make new badges and they make value less than pieces you use, this is a big rip off, I made 7 badges and only 1 was same and 6 lower.
I did new quests game and when I get to win crate all I get is a jacket which is low level and green.
Sorry for my English, I was hoping with a break and coming back this game would be better but is more rubbish than ever.

    Months you say? I've found a grand total of 198 badge fragments and 24 legendary components (I've found other rarity components as well). So far I haven't found a single legendary fragment.

    I look forward to the day I finally receive one, maybe in 2019, and I craft an epic badge from it.

    Savour that moment as your gold dreams disappear, and a blue +health badge with a little message of congratulations appears instead.

    Since my post I use my last 3 brown fragments and brown pieces and ALL 3 come out gray, that is 9 lower, 1 same out of 10 so is a total rip off. It should be a 1 in 3 chance (low, same, higher etc) but to make it fair you should ALWAYS get same value. I sorry but this game sucks big time, I feel sorry for all the players getting ripped off by idiots game developers

    I don't play often.. Just earing 100+ stars per challenge but still launching game every day ;)
    2nd anniversary badge earned as well...
    New changes.. Hmm I don't see any issues with them.

    Sounds like you're having some bad luck. I find that maybe about 60% it comes out the same rarity, 30% lower and 10% higher. It's best to just accept it for what it is rather than get mad, don't spend any gold on the component crates and just earn what you can for free from missions/distance at your leisure. Eventually if you're consistent you'll have a set of rare/epic badges for your best survivors.

    If you're low level even the uncommon badges add a nice boost :smile:

    I have had quite a few epic fragments & component and have STILL not managed to craft an epic badge or above, they ALWAYS come out lower. I have a few uncommon ones from common components but even then the vast majority come out lower.
