I can't understand how some members of the forum can have gifs and pictures in their signature and I cannot.

Bored on a conference call... I spot checked some popular threads to look for people with signatures with animated GIFs. So far I've only found @zbot and @MadPuppy with this. Is it possibly something restricted to the @ModSquad? I'll keep looking to see if I can find any forum users with animated signatures.

Second Edit... I found it easiest to go back to the beginning of the forum creation, search the threads with the most comments and just quickly scroll through their posts and voila. A non mod with a gif (although not an active member)

Based on the age of the accounts you listed as examples, my current theory is that this is a feature that used to be enabled but isn't any more. @Kaz - can you (or one of the mods like @zbot or @MadPuppy) either confirm that my theory is awesome or terrible? Usually they're terrible.

Not only do you get the 'images not allowed' warning when you try to include an image, but there is an 'instruction' on the signature screen that states that images aren't allowed.

Thinking this bolsters my theory... it might be out of concern for space (since changing your signature retroactively affects all previous posts) or a concern that @Jenng might go on a weekend bender and add a naughty image to her signature (which would them be replicated in her 3,000+ comments and posts), but it looks like a setting that was intentionally disabled. At least for us non mods/staff.

Apparently one of our add-ons was not working properly. I literally turn it off and turn on again and it seems to be working again. Could you try again?

I don’t care what caused it. I don’t care how it was fixed. But tomorrow at 8am est I will have that gif added to my signature. The one @abailey362 has added to his. Super sweet.

@Kaz thanks again very much for the help with this. 1 image/gif/jpg is more than enough. I can understand the forum might get overloaded if people put too many photos in there.
