Gas drop rates go up during 1 minute gas event?

Not a big deal and I'm not even complaining, but why do gas drop rates in mission reward crates increase during a 1 minute gas event? I remember this discussion in the past and I was assured it was just my perception. So am I actually losing my mind?

Seriously?! I approve of this tiny complaint because I’ve had other shit to do today and Me likey to use all my gas in a sitting and I’m like wtf so , so much gas ......... which is awesome if I didn’t have a bunch of other shtuff to get done.
How in the world would you ever complain towards free play that 1 minute gas and additional gas gives you.

Of course, you are not losing your mind, dude, don't worry. I mean, we all are losing it little by little, but I don't think this is the case.
And DLich is correct, the drop rates are there and they are dynamic, which means that if we change something in the game, the numbers you see in the drop rate table will change accordingly.
My guess is that since we are running this event, your perception changes. Your mind will pay attention to the rewards you are not happy to get. In this case, Gas.
When the event is not running, Gas becomes a good reward and, therefore, you don't really care about it. : )
Long story short, the Gas drop rate was not changed for this event!

I just did a scavenge for XP and received 8 gas, and every mission after that was like 2-4.
I'm not complaining but thanks for letting me know I'm not going crazy all by myself.

I would point out that I had mission screens that looked just like that many times before the weekend event started, and that the sheer larger number of missions people can play during 1 minute gas events could skew perceptions. I would add that I can't prove you're wrong, but that even homicide detectives and prosecutors know eyewitness accounts are not always reliable due to the foibles of human perception and suggestability. .
I finally had a real life situation where I could explain to her how things we THINK we do sometimes turn into a remembered reality that nevertheless is still phantasy.
Our mind has an enourmous capacity to fool us.
I can see other situations where our mental perception can be beside the facts.
