Anybody else worried about the large amount of XP

When you're maxed out at lv16 survivors and weapons with a council upgrade coming soon? I mean it's gonna be like 400k+ to get 1 survivor upgraded and then think about the weapons to unlock that third trait! Seeing as how the tents give us very little XP they are really no help at all. Then throw in all the hours it will take for each weapon to upgrade, I'm getting a little bummed. Kinda don't feel like going through it all honestly. Unless they give us a way of gaining more XP than they do now I can't see myself continuing

No. If they kept the feature from beta, you can buy xp with trade goods.
  • @Lance if not it would eventually be like weapon upgrade 1mil and 5 days 2 hours, gotta tell guild i cant help out with this challenge, gotta upgrade my wrench

It is daunting for sure and make engagement with the game a bit less appealing. To some degree being at a lower level was more fun. Perhaps the new challenge reward system or other things in the work will make things a bit better.

Maybe just doing the challenges with a guild or whatever other aspect of the game you like and just coming back whenever gas is loaded up will keep the game going. Right now I am trying to grind out XP and work within the guild. And I am also willing to go with the game on just running challenges when the gas is full. Supplies will eventually build up. XP, not as quick, but it will.

But overall, yes there has been a drop off as you mentioned for me. I am willing to grind for points, and have supported the game by buying some of the packages, but right now what you suggest is not out of hand. That being said, I will still play but not worry about it as much or play as much.

Thanks guys! Definitely promising on the new ways to gain XP. Gives me some hope, I was feeling like it was gonna be too overwhelming

Spend an hour a day and fulfill family/self duties first. This game or any is not worth it to throw everything else away. I pity folks who would grind 6 hours a day to make that 400k exp. Perspective.

I am only at survivors lv 15 and it took forever to upgrade the team.
If it was not for the new trade goods --> xp
I was about to retire from the game, too much grinding.

Wasn't it like 2 weeks ago we just had a council upgrade? & everyone started taking their survivors to 16 which is not a big deal as I got 11 out of 17 to lvl 16, but the highest upgrade on gear was lvl 15 to 18 which costs a fortune & 48hrs to complete 1 legendary or epic weapon or armor so 4days to complete 1 survivor & 72 days to complete 18, so now that I maybe finished 5 or 6 survivors complete with lvl 18 theres going to be another council upgrade so soon that all that work is already obselete & im going to have to start lvl 16 to 19?? That's pretty frustrating & seems like a big waste now & they really should have gave us both council upgrades in the 1st update if they were going to do another 1 so soon so we could have just started with lvl 16 gear & not wasted valuable time & xp on all the level 15 gear smh, I'm sure most of us wouldn't have bothered with lvl 15 to 18 gear otherwise

The most ANNOYING thing for me is receiving XP from scrapping fully upgraded gear worth 700+ XP. It has to be changed @TK-421 @Teeceezy @OldGoth

This thread is not fair toward NG. Maybe u haven't noticed, but NG is a company, which principle idea is to make at least so much money they can pay salaries to devs so that people can play this game without money.

TWD No Man's Land is very fair to free play like for example Boom Beach of Supercell. In these games a player can play for years without pay any real euro or dollar. Every features, characters, weapons etc. are available to all players, without paying the progress is slower and I can honestly say that it is slow in level 16 characters for paying players also :)

If u like to proceed quickier, just buy gasolin and grind more XP missions.

I'm suprised none of the bundles have ever offered full xp. As someone pointed out in another thread full xp might be something offered in the trade goods shop when it goes live

From what I saw of the beta, I wouldn't expect any of the price ratios to remain the way they were. They're too far out of line with the current costs. If the pricing in the beta were to say the same, everything else that currently exists would also have to have a sharp cost reduction.

Yes NG is a company out to create a product and profit from it. I personally have purchased gold from them and have no problem with the cost of gold.
My problem like other players, is that to upgrade higher level gear, I have to grind forever, then after a week of upgrading, time spent playing etc. The same gear they made me spend a week grinding for, is worth $2-4k inn xp. As a company I can't believe they would be losing any profit by giving us more for something we've already paid for and earned.

Upgrade legendary level 17 to 18 costs 524k XP. If you refill gas and do Ep.13 explorations with XP reward, you can get about 40k XP in 10 mins. Thus 524k XP takes only about 2 hours, and 936 gold is spent.

Thus is 10 bucks for ONE item. You must be kidding if you think this makes sense.

    18 survivors, weapon and armor = 936x36 = 33696 ;)

And of course I don't need to upgrade two for every survivor but guess I'm not the only one with at least 10 fully equipped survivors

The mathematical dynamic of the game at the lower levels of play don't work the same for higher levels...

The Developers either don't understand this, or are reluctant to change it...

Thus we question what they have done...

But the developers view what we are saying as just " sniveling "

As for me, the last time I sniveled, I wasn't old enough to drive a car legally...

The developers just don't get it...
I am easily confused by other people's, laziness and sloppiness and greed...

Any guess who might " now " be on my list, ( in 2017 )

How can I get 524k XP?
    A. Free / 4 days
    B. $10 / 2 hours
    C. $40 / instant

Our right is to select one option, that's everything we can do.
  • SdotSdot Member Posts: 33
@lance @jester said you could by XP with trade goods (haven't seen that) and the XP you get from raids is very minimal. Disappointing to say the least

    @Sdot

In beta you could trade 150 trade good for full xp (we made only 6 per hour)
    50 for 50% xp

    They removed that option

and they removed 150 gold for full supplies

They could have changed the pricing but they choose to remove it. :(
  • NecroboogieNecroboogie Member Posts: 1,108
Yeah figured theyd leave the content but change the price point for it :( or at least make/have new ways to generate exp and supplies. Lmao certainly not going to be able to upgrade with the minuscule exp bonus at the end of raids....
  • LanceLance Member Posts: 568
Not been able to do one raid in beta 1.7
